The Yucca Hut kitchen is an open, colorful space with modern accents. Appliances include a vintage Viking gas stove with hood, oven, fridge, freezer, and coffee maker. All cabinets are fully stocked with dishes and cookware. Like the rest of the home, even the kitchen offers stunning views. The breakfast bar seats two and you will find a large table set for six in the dining room, although you may be tempted to enjoy your meal on the otherworldly patio next to the BBQ grill overlooking 5 private acres.

HouseRules

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT DEFINED HEREIN.

• The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

• Your sole right to access the property begins with the 3PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 9PM unless approved in advance. We will charge 50% of the daily rate for an unauthorized early arrival or late check-out.

• Dogs are allowed with prior written permission, with the payment of an additional cleaning fee, and only at certain properties. No other pets or animals are allowed. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules: use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure); dogs must be leashed at all times when outside (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs) and owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin; dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning (including at least $50 for pet fur left on furniture due to lack of use of the provided protective sheets) or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog.

• Recreational vehicles, motorcycles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

• We do not guarantee the speed or availability of internet service. Internet service may be provided by a satellite and/or wireless provider and may be subject to more fluctuations and outages than you may be used to and we do not provide refunds or discounts due to internet problems. No illegal or abusive use of the internet access is allowed. Guests may log in to their personal accounts on any devices at the property (e.g. smart TVs), but guests are responsible for logging out of all personal accounts prior to leaving the property and we are not responsible for any use or purchase made on guest accounts.

• Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area.

• The High Desert occasionally has power outages due to its rural nature. We are not responsible for any outages of Southern California Edison or any inconvenience such outage may cause. We will notify you of any planned outages and if requested will attempt to accommodate you elsewhere in the event of a planned outage lasting more than 4 hours. But we do not provide refunds or discounts for power outages that are unplanned.

• No photoshoots are allowed on the property without prior written approval and the payment of additional fees. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any use removed.

• Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written approval and the payment of additional fees.

• Guests who utilize a property’s hot tub, pools and/or plunge pool do so at their own risk and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glass or pottery glassware, plates, etc. in or anywhere near any such water amenity. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool. If a water amenity is left uncovered, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for additional cleaning/filling/heating.
No lifeguard is on duty; the primary guest on the reservation is responsible for the safe operation of the pool and for the safety of any persons using the pool; by utilizing any pool or spa all guests acknowledge and accept the risk of injury resulting from use of the pool, malfunction of pool equipment, tripping or falling around the pool/spa and any other injuries that may occur and waive all claims against the homeowner or its representatives including Homestead Modern LLC.

• Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, and pool and hot tub repairs and service.

• If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation with only a refund to the actual fees and / or deposits you have paid.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the property or within 15 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste into a plastic bag and then into the outdoor

garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250.

• Propane firepits or fireplaces may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (it is illegal pursuant to a county ordinance and may damage the fixture). If any combustible materials are burned in them, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.

• By making your reservation, you confirm that you will comply with (and your stay is allowed by) any applicable health or safety orders from the State of California.

• Firearms are not allowed on the property.

• Local ordinances prohibit any loud, excessive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person at any time as well as strict quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM. You must adhere to these rules.

• Please pay attention to all relevant short-term rental ordinances and other regulations (such as the noise ordinance above) in accordance with county or town guidelines. If you violate any ordinance and as a result the property is fined, you will be responsible for payment of the fine plus a $500 administrative fee.

• Payments are due 50% at 60 days before check-in and 50% at 30 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if less than the days for either payment).

• A deposit is required at the time of booking and any unused portion will be returned 7 days after checkout. Bookings may include an accidental damage protection fee – with payment of this non-refundable fee, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $1000 and that you report to us during your stay. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets.

• We may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this agreement, the property listing or the property house manual. If the cost of the damages, losses, or missing items exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill your credit card for the difference and / or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents, missing or broken items, lost keys, required excessive cleaning, not complying fully with the departure checklist, smoke odors or damage, mailing charges for items left behind, unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property, the presence of a dog without authorization, noise complaints after 10PM, including fines, trespassing on neighboring properties, violation of any county or town rules and unauthorized late check-out.

• We are not responsible for any personal injury or personal property loss or damage that you or your guests may incur while at the property, you assume all risks associated with your visit and will hold the property owner and manager harmless from any injuries, loss or damage.

Listen, if you’re a person who creates a wishlist before making a decision on an Airbnb selection and this one is on your list. BOOK IT. Don’t procrastinate any further, don’t keep revising the list. Book this one. The pictures are gorgeous but the grandeur of this places is hard to capture. It’s the best Airbnb in the desert. Do yourself a favor and stay here - soak in the hot tub, give names to all of the plants at night that are beautifully lit and sunbathe in front of the gigantic sliding doors in the impeccably designed living room. We’ll be back.

I had a fantastic stay at Yucca Hut. The home was just like the pictures, beautifully designed and decorated. I loved the way it felt homey and warm without being cluttered. My favorite parts were the views from all the windows in the main living area and kitchen along with the hot tub in the morning and night. The AC also kept us cool during the heat without issue. For those staying with dogs, the property is not fenced so you’ll still have to keep them on leash. Even on leash, my dogs got cacti stuck in their paws multiple times - they’re all over the yard. I do love how the property is dog friendly inside and not strict like some other properties who don’t allow dogs on their furniture. This property provides a sheet you can lay down for them which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property. It was as beautiful and magical as the pictures show.

I wish I had never left. The longer I was there, the more the space impacted me. I e never felt so creative and so aligned. The bonus was the outdoor shower (I never even needed to use the indoor bathroom), the sliding doors, the shaded patio, the hammock, sunken jacuzzi, indoor fire place, and kitchen island. I could go on and on, I thought I’d use to the cabin (which is perfect) but would up spending most of my time in the main home. Staying was such a wonderful gift to myself

I sincerely enjoyed my visit at the Yucca Hut. We ended up extending our visit because we didn't want to leave! The cowboy tub was amazing, the hot tub was great, and the view was phenomenal. I had a very good time at Yucca Hut! Nice private area and cute house. The bedrooms were so spacious and comfortable, especially the softest pillows I've ever used. We will absolutely stay here again. The linens and towels were clean and of good quality, the bed and pillows as well. So comfy. The place itself is incredibly beautiful, sleek and modern yet warm and extremely well appointed. From laundry detergent to olive oil, great quality spices, coffee and sparkling water. Also, there’s not a long list of tasks you’re meant to complete before you leave in addition to paying a cleaning charge. I think they just ask you to run the dishwasher and leave your towels on the floor. Now let’s talk about the view. With wraparound sliding glass doors, waking up in the morning and walking into the kitchen was like walking into a painting, and the sunsets over the desert… We were in town for work so didn’t even fully get to use all the amenities. This is a great space for a romantic getaway, and is big enough for a family retreat. …there is even a whole other free standing bedroom in its own little outbuilding. Amazing place. LOVED it.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Homestead Modern. The property feels secluded and cozy, and is a short 10-15 min drive to the Joshua Tree entrance. The home is super clean and we loved the owners artwork, ceramics, and overall vibe of the interior! We were here during a January rainstorm and didn't have any difficultly with the property's unpaved road in a small sedan. We would definitely stay here again when we visit during the warmer months!

This was our fourth stay at Yucca Hut in the last year. Always a treat to stay here and sleep on the wonderful master bedroom mattress. Hands down the best bed I’ve ever slept in at a rental home or hotel. Wonderful kitchen too.

This home is amazing. The architectural design is beautiful, from the high ceilings, the concrete finishes, the exposed wood, to the amazing views through the expansive sliding glass doors. There was endless natural light. One of my favorite features was actually the round window near the entrance. The interior design was a combinations of modern minimal with Joshua Tree-esque touches. I noticed that the center piece tall cactus was the only cactus in the open concept kitchen/living/dining room which was a perfect touch that didn’t take away from the Joshua trees and cactuses in their natural desert environment that this property sits on. Overall the host was very responsive and polite. I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary so they went out of their way to drop off a complementary bottle of wine. Now that’s a host! Worth the stay. Don’t hesitate to book!

WOW… is all I have to say! I had such an incredible stay in this beautiful space. My friend and I decided to take a last minute trip to the desert to recharge for the weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The space is even more beautiful in person — the pictures don’t do it justice. We spent the majority of our time relaxing in the hammocks, cowboy tub (so cool!!), and hot tub. I’ve been to Joshua Tree many times and I think this might be the best Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Will definitely be back and looking forward to booking with Homestead Modern again!

We recently stayed at the Yucca Hut, and overall it was a positive experience. The location was convenient, providing quick access to Joshua Tree National Park, and the modern design of the space was a great touch. The stocked kitchen made meal preparation a breeze. The expansive outdoor space offered a breathtaking view of the desert landscape. The cozy atmosphere created by the fireplace was a pleasant addition after a long day of hiking. However, there were issues that detracted from our overall enjoyment. We found pet and human hair from a previous occupant. Despite reporting the issue to Homestead Modern's support team, our complaint went unanswered, and we felt that our concerns were not taken seriously. While some inquiries received prompt responses, the customer support team was less than friendly at times. Overall, we would recommend the Yucca Hut to others, but suggest that Homestead Modern improves its customer service to ensure guests feel heard and valued.

The location was perfect, within 10 min to all our favorite food, with a very drivable dirt road to the house (far less bumpy/pothole-y than typical). Wow! We had such a fantastic stay here for my partner’s birthday weekend. The home was so beautifully designed and felt like such a magical escape. So many thoughtful details: we were particularly obsessed with the lighting and dimmer switches on every light! The super comfortable bed, the beautiful furniture and art…Cannot say enough about how much the design elevated our entire experience. The hot tub was amazing (even had a cool convenient dock for the cover), as was the fun cowboy pool. We took multiple outdoor showers and enjoyed the sunset around us. The views were amazing. The BBQ and kitchen were so fun to make a birthday dinner. They supplied oil and some spices, and some coffee and seltzer! What a treat! If you’re doing some cooking you may want to bring your own vinegar and other staples, etc. We spent most of our time relaxing in the hammock house, listening to the birds, and enjoying the privacy. We lucked out one night with a *meteor shower* and sat outside in one of the many cool seating areas to enjoy it. Our pup loved it too! They were so thoughtful leaving out sheets for her and waste bags. The hosts have been great communicators, answering our questions so promptly and kindly. Easy check-in/out. We cannot wait to return to this peaceful and elegant home. Made for a special vacation we will not forget. Thank you!!

This was the perfect spot for a relaxing desert getaway. The design of the place is impeccable -- every piece is its own sculptural moment. Really well designed house with most all the amenities we needed for a midweek stay! Wifi was speedy enough for two people to have video calls, and we loved relaxing on the comfy daybed or in the hot tub in the evening. The Cowboy tub was fun too! Wish we had caught the outdoor shower was off for the season. A few maintenance issues cropped up in our first couple of days but the team was always really helpful about getting most problems solved, or we were able to make do with some easy workarounds! Everything about this house was fantastic! So comfortable and beautifully designed. We loved cooking in the kitchen and enjoyed wine by the hot tub in the evenings. Joshua Tree was a quick 20 minute drive away and the small local town was fun to shop and grab a drink. Most restaurants were closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We also enjoyed the local coffee in the mornings while watching the sunrise. We came out here to get a quick retreat from LA and it was everything we needed. This is a gorgeous and very clean house with an incredible hot tub, comfortable beds and bedding and on and on. Easily a five out of five experience. It’s close to joshua tree, yucca valley and pioneertown. The only minor drawback is that the house, while on a large lot, is not quite as isolated as I had hoped and is in a neighborhood. However, we never heard any of the neighbors and felt complete privacy and comfort the entire time. Incredible house!

You will not regret your stay here. A few of my favorite things: The epic panoramic views of Joshua Trees with magical sunrises and sunsets to match. The calming and simple interior design. Little pockets of peaceful sitting areas to read a book or have convos. Everything at your fingertips: spacious kitchen with all you need to cook (including my favorite the French press!), clean and pristine bathrooms with outdoor shower, fireplace, so much room for my golden retrievers to relax and cool off on the floor and the backyard was so inviting for socializing and bonding. The cowboy bath was a top favorite! After touring hot Joshua tree, it was so refreshing to dip and cool off in the cowboy bath!! The hot tub was perfect for stargazing at night!! The stars jumped out at you! We went when a heat wave hit SoCal and this bnb was the perfect home to escape to but also enjoy what the desert has to offer!! Highly recommend!! I’m def coming back in the fall!! Miss it already…

The Yucca Hut was one of the best desert Airbnbs my partner and I have ever stayed in. The folks at Homestead Modern are so kind and communicative. Absolutely one of my best Airbnb experiences. From the initial communication to the very comprehensive printed house manual on the counter, they seem to have thought of everything. The house is as beautiful as pictured and remarkably clean. It immediately felt like home (even better!), and was incredibly comfortable. So many different spaces, both indoor and outdoor, to experience and appreciate. The location was perfect. So convenient to Yucca Valley shops, Pioneertown, and Joshua Tree. This was a wonderful getaway for after a year of being cooped up in our own home. The location was perfect - far enough from 62 to see the stars at night, and close enough for all the amenities and easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. I found myself prioritizing sunrise and sunset at the house because the views with all the desert around us were so beautiful. We enjoyed yoga in the cabin, hot tub under the stars, and afternoon reading in the hammocks (our dog enjoyed the shade structure too) while being visited intermittently by quails, rabbits, and even a roadrunner! It was our first time in the high desert, and we'll be sure to return!

Gorgeous views, amazing location, thoughtful and stylish house. Loved every minute of our stay at this property. Highly recommend the Yucca hut, and homestead modern overall. As for the property- The outdoor space is unbeatable! The layout of everything is artfully done, giving you amazing wide-open views of the gorgeous landscape but also keeping you sheltered/private and out of direct sight from other properties near by. And from inside the house, you still feel completely connected to the landscape. They put a lot of thought into this place and executed everything very well. The amenities are on point: beds and pillows are dreamy, towels are linens are high quality, you have all the basics to cook and feel right at home. They left nothing to want. The Yucca Hut was the perfect destination to relax and enjoy plenty of functional outdoor space. For us, it was a temporary escape from Los Angeles, and it was even more relaxing than we planned. The rooms are as clean as they are well designed, and the thoughtful touches (succulents, books) give the entire house a homey feel. What made the experience truly special was spending time reading in the hammock and stargazing in the jacuzzi in the pitch black desert. A short drive to town and to a number of hikes, we felt remote enough to relax but close enough to activities for us to not feel like we were on an island. Overall, this experience was terrific and the hosts were communicative and easy to work with. Will book again!

What are a great place to relax and unwind. The Yucca Hut is thoughtfully designed, very clean, a perfect size property for a family to have some elbow room and privacy with views of the surrounding desert. Listen, if you’re a person who creates a wishlist before making a decision on an Airbnb selection and this one is on your list. BOOK IT. Don’t procrastinate any further, don’t keep revising the list. Book this one. The pictures are gorgeous but the grandeur of this places is hard to capture. It’s the best Airbnb in the desert. Do yourself a favor and stay here - soak in the hot tub, give names to all of the plants at night that are beautifully lit and sunbathe in front of the gigantic sliding doors in the impeccably designed living room. I had a fantastic stay at Yucca Hut. The home was just like the pictures, beautifully designed and decorated. I loved the way it felt homey and warm without being cluttered. My favorite parts were the views from all the windows in the main living area and kitchen along with the hot tub in the morning and night. The AC also kept us cool during the heat without issue. For those staying with dogs, the property is not fenced so you’ll still have to keep them on leash. Even on leash, my dogs got cacti stuck in their paws multiple times - they’re all over the yard. I do love how the property is dog friendly inside and not strict like some other properties who don’t allow dogs on their furniture. This property provides a sheet you can lay down for them which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property. It was as beautiful and magical as the pictures show.

I wish I had never left. The longer I was there, the more the space impacted me. I e never felt so creative and so aligned. The bonus was the outdoor shower (I never even needed to use the indoor bathroom), the sliding doors, the shaded patio, the hammock, sunken jacuzzi, indoor fire place, and kitchen island. We will absolutely stay here again. The linens and towels were clean and of good quality, the bed and pillows as well. So comfy. The place itself is incredibly beautiful, sleek and modern yet warm and extremely well appointed. From laundry detergent to olive oil, great quality spices, coffee and sparkling water. Also, there’s not a long list of tasks you’re meant to complete before you leave in addition to paying a cleaning charge. I think they just ask you to run the dishwasher and leave your towels on the floor. Now let’s talk about the view. With wraparound sliding glass doors, waking up in the morning and walking into the kitchen was like walking into a painting, and the sunsets over the desert… We were in town for work so didn’t even fully get to use all the amenities. This is a great space for a romantic getaway, and is big enough for a family retreat. …there is even a whole other free standing bedroom in its own little outbuilding. Amazing place. LOVED it.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Homestead Modern. The property feels secluded and cozy, and is a short 10-15 min drive to the Joshua Tree entrance. The home is super clean and we loved the owners artwork, ceramics, and overall vibe of the interior! We were here during a January rainstorm and didn't have any difficultly with the property's unpaved road in a small sedan. We would definitely stay here again when we visit during the warmer months!

This home is amazing. The architectural design is beautiful, from the high ceilings, the concrete finishes, the exposed wood, to the amazing views through the expansive sliding glass doors. There was endless natural light. One of my favorite features was actually the round window near the entrance. The interior design was a combinations of modern minimal with Joshua Tree-esque touches. I noticed that the center piece tall cactus was the only cactus in the open concept kitchen/living/dining room which was a perfect touch that didn’t take away from the Joshua trees and cactuses in their natural desert environment that this property sits on. Overall the host was very responsive and polite. I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary so they went out of their way to drop off a complementary bottle of wine. Now that’s a host! Worth the stay. Don’t hesitate to book!

What a beautiful place to escape to. Thoughtfully planned indoor and outdoor spaces give this home lots of welcome topographical variety — we spent lots of time at the house and never got bored or felt like we were missing out on what the surroundings have to offer. WOW… is all I have to say! I had such an incredible stay in this beautiful space. My friend and I decided to take a last minute trip to the desert to recharge for the weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our stay at Yucca Hut was relaxing and inspiring! The house itself is comfortable and decorated thoughtfully and beautifully, and has everything you need - it felt like home but better. We recently stayed at the Yucca Hut, and overall it was a positive experience. The location was convenient, providing quick access to Joshua Tree National Park, and the modern design of the space was a great touch. The stocked kitchen made meal preparation a breeze. The expansive outdoor space offered a breathtaking view of the desert landscape. The cozy atmosphere created by the fireplace was a pleasant addition after a long day of hiking. However, there were issues that detracted from our overall enjoyment. We found pet and human hair from a previous occupant. Despite reporting the issue to Homestead Modern's support team, our complaint went unanswered, and we felt that our concerns were not taken seriously. While some inquiries received prompt responses, the customer support team was less than friendly at times. Overall, we would recommend the Yucca Hut to others, but suggest that Homestead Modern improves its customer service to ensure guests feel heard and valued.

Our stay was fantastic. The location is a short 15 min or so drive to the closest park entrance and less than 10 to the downtown area. The property felt secluded and private but not super isolated. The pictures are accurate and the check-in/check-out was seamless. Stayed 3 nights at the Homestead Modern and has the most relaxing and peaceful time here. The location is very private so at night you hear little to no noice. The location was perfect, within 10 min to all our favorite food, with a very drivable dirt road to the house (far less bumpy/pothole-y than typical). This house is situated an easy 20 minute drive to the west entrance of Joshua Tree. Do you ever need to leave the house? No! Beautiful grounds are covered with Joshua trees and Cholla, wildlife roams around morning and night like clockwork! Wow! We had such a fantastic stay here for my partner’s birthday weekend. The home was so beautifully designed and felt like such a magical escape. So many thoughtful details: we were particularly obsessed with the lighting and dimmer switches on every light! The super comfortable bed, the beautiful furniture and art…Cannot say enough about how much the design elevated our entire experience. The hot tub was amazing (even had a cool convenient dock for the cover), as was the fun cowboy pool. We took multiple outdoor showers and enjoyed the sunset around us. The views were amazing. The BBQ and kitchen were so fun to make a birthday dinner. They supplied oil and some spices, and some coffee and seltzer! What a treat! If you’re doing some cooking you may want to bring your own vinegar and other staples, etc. We spent most of our time relaxing in the hammock house, listening to the birds, and enjoying the privacy. We lucked out one night with a *meteor shower* and sat outside in one of the many cool seating areas to enjoy it. Our pup loved it too! They were so thoughtful leaving out sheets for her and waste bags. The hosts have been great communicators, answering our questions so promptly and kindly. Easy check-in/out. We cannot wait to return to this peaceful and elegant home. Made for a special vacation we will not forget. Thank you!!

This was the perfect spot for a relaxing desert getaway. The design of the place is impeccable -- every piece is its own sculptural moment. Beautiful views and lots of desert plants surround the property. We fully enjoyed each area and amenity -- hanging out at the table with the big sliding door open, drinking coffee in the various outdoor areas, grilling, using the outdoor shower, and soaking in the hot tub and cowboy pool.

Great place, close to hikes & the park. Super cozy and welcoming. Can see other houses but very private from yard and hot tub. Kitchen not fully stocked with species so bring your own if cooking! House has a ton of great books and games to play. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

This is the perfect retreat for a weekend or a month! Simple and spacious with a sleek modern design. Really well designed house with most all the amenities we needed for a midweek stay! Wifi was speedy enough for two people to have video calls, and we loved relaxing on the comfy daybed or in the hot tub in the evening. The Cowboy tub was fun too! Wish we had caught the outdoor shower was off for the season. A few maintenance issues cropped up in our first couple of days but the team was always really helpful about getting most problems solved, or we were able to make do with some easy workarounds! Nice and quiet spot with just a few neighbors, comfy bed, and charming touches around the house.

This place is such a gem. The house is situated in a more private, spacious area surrounded by beautiful desert plants. Very quiet neighborhood with not much traffic so you really get immersed into the serene life in the desert. House is beautifully decorated, clean, and well equipped for a super comfortable stay. Even the beds are so comfy! We ended up just staying home and not going out because this place really has everything you need, especially the hot tub and grill! Everything was as pictured! Booked a last minute trip to have some peace and time away from city life. Spent all day in the jacuzzi, cooked, and relaxed. Woke up to beautiful views and stargazed at night. If anyone is looking for time away, book!

Everything about this house was fantastic! So comfortable and beautifully designed. We loved cooking in the kitchen and enjoyed wine by the hot tub in the evenings. Joshua Tree was a quick 20 minute drive away and the small local town was fun to shop and grab a drink. Most restaurants were closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We also enjoyed the local coffee in the mornings while watching the sunrise. We came out here to get a quick retreat from LA and it was everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have a chance!

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at this house! The property is great with many different places to hang out (cabin, hot tub, hammock) and there is a very swanky fireplace inside. There is a ton of attention to detail and design at this house that really made the trip stand out. The beds are incredibly comfortable and viewing the Joshua Trees from the hot tub at night was amazing. The house is also close to town but remote enough to feel pretty isolated. I would definitely recommend this property!

My wife and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary! It was a great escape from the busy loud city life! House is super clean and well designed and decorated. The gas fire place was so convenient, the Sonos speaker system was very easy to pair with my iPad. The views are great - a TON of Joshua Trees on the property. Morning coffee in the hot tub followed up by an outdoor shower is life changing! Cannot recommend Homestead Modern enough!

This is a gorgeous and very clean house with an incredible hot tub, comfortable beds and bedding and on and on. Easily a five out of five experience. It’s close to joshua tree, yucca valley and pioneertown. The only minor drawback is that the house, while on a large lot, is not quite as isolated as I had hoped and is in a neighborhood. However, we never heard any of the neighbors and felt complete privacy and comfort the entire time. Incredible house!

The Yucca Hut is the perfect place to getaway and bask in the sun and solitude. There are certainly other homes in sight, but we still really enjoyed the desert sunsets and privacy of the setting. You will not regret your stay here. A few of my favorite things: The epic panoramic views of Joshua Trees with magical sunrises and sunsets to match. The calming and simple interior design. Little pockets of peaceful sitting areas to read a book or have convos. Everything at your fingertips: spacious kitchen with all you need to cook (including my favorite the French press!), clean and pristine bathrooms with outdoor shower, fireplace, so much room for my golden retrievers to relax and cool off on the floor and the backyard was so inviting for socializing and bonding. The cowboy bath was a top favorite! After touring hot Joshua tree, it was so refreshing to dip and cool off in the cowboy bath!! The hot tub was perfect for stargazing at night!! The stars jumped out at you! We went when a heat wave hit SoCal and this bnb was the perfect home to escape to but also enjoy what the desert has to offer!! Highly recommend!! I’m def coming back in the fall!! Miss it already…

The Yucca Hut was one of the best desert Airbnbs my partner and I have ever stayed in. The folks at Homestead Modern are so kind and communicative. Absolutely one of my best Airbnb experiences. From the initial communication to the very comprehensive printed house manual on the counter, they seem to have thought of everything. The house is as beautiful as pictured and remarkably clean. It immediately felt like home (even better!), and was incredibly comfortable. So many different spaces, both indoor and outdoor, to experience and appreciate. The location was perfect. So convenient to Yucca Valley shops, Pioneertown, and Joshua Tree. This was a wonderful getaway for after a year of being cooped up in our own home. The location was perfect - far enough from 62 to see the stars at night, and close enough for all the amenities and easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. I found myself prioritizing sunrise and sunset at the house because the views with all the desert around us were so beautiful. We enjoyed yoga in the cabin, hot tub under the stars, and afternoon reading in the hammocks (our dog enjoyed the shade structure too) while being visited intermittently by quails, rabbits, and even a roadrunner! It was our first time in the high desert, and we'll be sure to return!

Gorgeous views, amazing location, thoughtful and stylish house. Loved every minute of our stay at this property. Highly recommend the Yucca hut, and homestead modern overall. As for the property- The outdoor space is unbeatable! The layout of everything is artfully done, giving you amazing wide-open views of the gorgeous landscape but also keeping you sheltered/private and out of direct sight from other properties near by. And from inside the house, you still feel completely connected to the landscape. They put a lot of thought into this place and executed everything very well. The amenities are on point: beds and pillows are dreamy, towels are linens are high quality, you have all the basics to cook and feel right at home. They left nothing to want. And Homestead Modern was a wonderful host to work with. They were friendly and quick to respond, easy and welcoming. I will definitely book with them again. The Yucca Hut was the perfect destination to relax and enjoy plenty of functional outdoor space. For us, it was a temporary escape from Los Angeles, and it was even more relaxing than we planned. The rooms are as clean as they are well designed, and the thoughtful touches (succulents, books) give the entire house a homey feel. What made the experience truly special was spending time reading in the hammock and stargazing in the jacuzzi in the pitch black desert. A short drive to town and to a number of hikes, we felt remote enough to relax but close enough to activities for us to not feel like we were on an island. Overall, this experience was terrific and the hosts were communicative and easy to work with. Will book again!

What are a great place to relax and unwind. The Yucca Hut is thoughtfully designed, very clean, a perfect size property for a family to have some elbow room and privacy with views of the surrounding desert. The hot tub and hut were great additions, and the design of the home and property have modern touches while fitting well with the surrounding landscape. The property has the feeling of being away from town while still being close enough for quick trips to the store. We look forward to renting again!
