Good Luck Outpost is a large, warm home filled with eclectic art pieces topped off by one-of-a-kind murals. The front bedroom has a Star Wars themed Mural by Muck Rock (@muckrock), an internationally known female graffiti artist. She also painted the beautiful mural in the arcade. There are other various original pieces filling the expansive space at Good Luck Outpost; such as, Mark Warren mirrors, Picasso posters, the original owners hand-drawn house blueprints and more. Your group can soak up the sun on the hillside hammocks by day, and at night, stargaze on the otherworldly outdoor deck by the propane fire pit. You'll see the lights of Joshua Tree village twinkling like a bed of jewels from the massive game room, as this location feels far away from everything but is just 15 minutes from everywhere. This home feels like a music lovers retro wonderland where opportunities to entertain and play are endless.

This house can comfortably sleep eight guests in three bedrooms. The kitchen and living area sit on one wing of the house while the bedrooms are placed on the opposite end. There is a day bed in the living room and two bathrooms. Highlights:

♦ Pool can be heated in April & October for $200/day. Due to high fuel costs in our area, pool heating is not available from November-March. The pool is maintained at 80 degrees the other months, but can fluctuate slightly with extreme temperatures

As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to be.

Neighborhood

When going to Joshua Tree one couldn’t imagine a better location in ambiance and convenience than Western Hills Estate, adjacent to the coveted Rock Reach areas of Yucca Valley as well as Pioneertown and the National Park. The area is private, but not remote with gorgeous views of mountains, Joshua trees, & desert flora & fauna. During the day, you can explore nature in your own backyard, and at night, the stargazing can’t be beat. Yet you can be in town within 2 minutes.

In addition to shopping and dining, you won’t want to miss these nearby highlights:
• Pioneertown (8-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harriet’s, a notable restaurant and venue.
• Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (20-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art.
• The Integratron (15-minute drive) - New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.
• Palm Springs (40-minute drive) - Artsy town known for vintage shopping, art galleries, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.

While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.

•POOL: Heating for our in-ground pool and integrated hot tub is included in your rental, except for the cooler season where we need to charge for pool heating. Should you wish to have the pool heated during that time, please notify us in advance of your arrival as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. Pricing is as follows-

October and April - $200/night

No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the pool and hot tub area. No glass can be around the pool and hot tub, there are plastic cups in the kitchen to be used outside. Please mind the quiet hours (no loud noises after 10pm). No intoxicated persons may use the pool or hot tub. NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY - YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

• EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.

• DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. Max of 2 dogs. No other types of animals are authorized.

• SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us!

• CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program.

• ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain

HouseRules

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT DEFINED HEREIN.

• The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

• Your sole right to access the property begins with the 3PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 9PM unless approved in advance. We will charge 50% of the daily rate for an unauthorized early arrival or late check-out.

• Dogs are allowed with prior written permission, with the payment of an additional cleaning fee, and only at certain properties. No other pets or animals are allowed. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules: use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure); dogs must be leashed at all times when outside (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs) and owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin; dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning (including at least $50 for pet fur left on furniture due to lack of use of the provided protective sheets) or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog.

• Recreational vehicles, motorcycles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

• We do not guarantee the speed or availability of internet service. Internet service may be provided by a satellite and/or wireless provider and may be subject to more fluctuations and outages than you may be used to and we do not provide refunds or discounts due to internet problems. No illegal or abusive use of the internet access is allowed. Guests may log in to their personal accounts on any devices at the property (e.g. smart TVs), but guests are responsible for logging out of all personal accounts prior to leaving the property and we are not responsible for any use or purchase made on guest accounts.

• Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area.

• The High Desert occasionally has power outages due to its rural nature. We are not responsible for any outages of Southern California Edison or any inconvenience such outage may cause. We will notify you of any planned outages and if requested will attempt to accommodate you elsewhere in the event of a planned outage lasting more than 4 hours. But we do not provide refunds or discounts for power outages that are unplanned.

• No photoshoots are allowed on the property without prior written approval and the payment of additional fees. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any use removed.

• Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written approval and the payment of additional fees.

• Guests who utilize a property’s hot tub, pools and/or plunge pool do so at their own risk and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glass or pottery glassware, plates, etc. in or anywhere near any such water amenity. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool. If a water amenity is left uncovered, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for additional cleaning/filling/heating.
No lifeguard is on duty; the primary guest on the reservation is responsible for the safe operation of the pool and for the safety of any persons using the pool; by utilizing any pool or spa all guests acknowledge and accept the risk of injury resulting from use of the pool, malfunction of pool equipment, tripping or falling around the pool/spa and any other injuries that may occur and waive all claims against the homeowner or its representatives including Homestead Modern LLC.

• Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, and pool and hot tub repairs and service.

• If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation with only a refund to the actual fees and / or deposits you have paid.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the property or within 15 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste into a plastic bag and then into the outdoor

garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250.

• Propane firepits or fireplaces may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (it is illegal pursuant to a county ordinance and may damage the fixture). If any combustible materials are burned in them, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.

• By making your reservation, you confirm that you will comply with (and your stay is allowed by) any applicable health or safety orders from the State of California.

• Firearms are not allowed on the property.

• Local ordinances prohibit any loud, excessive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person at any time as well as strict quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM. You must adhere to these rules.

• Please pay attention to all relevant short-term rental ordinances and other regulations (such as the noise ordinance above) in accordance with county or town guidelines. If you violate any ordinance and as a result the property is fined, you will be responsible for payment of the fine plus a $500 administrative fee.

• Payments are due 50% at 60 days before check-in and 50% at 30 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if less than the days for either payment).

• A deposit is required at the time of booking and any unused portion will be returned 7 days after checkout. Bookings may include an accidental damage protection fee – with payment of this non-refundable fee, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $1000 and that you report to us during your stay. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets.

• We may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this agreement, the property listing or the property house manual. If the cost of the damages, losses, or missing items exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill your credit card for the difference and / or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents, missing or broken items, lost keys, required excessive cleaning, not complying fully with the departure checklist, smoke odors or damage, mailing charges for items left behind, unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property, the presence of a dog without authorization, noise complaints after 10PM, including fines, trespassing on neighboring properties, violation of any county or town rules and unauthorized late check-out.

• We are not responsible for any personal injury or personal property loss or damage that you or your guests may incur while at the property, you assume all risks associated with your visit and will hold the property owner and manager harmless from any injuries, loss or damage.

It was a perfect 2 night stay here! We were in awe with the beautiful sunrise and sunset views on the patio to the fun decor throughout the home. Our kids really enjoyed the game room in the garage. My group and I had an amazing time. The house was perfect for a weekend getaway. Most of us are architects, so we really appreciated the thoughtful layout, decor, and especially floor plan wall art! The backyard was definitely a highlight. The view, pool, and spa were fantastic. Even though it’s close to the main road, it felt completely secluded. Being just 5 minutes from Stater Bros was convenient. The grill was easy to use, and the spa was spacious—comfortably fitting 8 people. Inside the house, the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals for our large group. The game room was well-stocked with games, so many that we had a hard time choosing! The beds and pillows were super comfortable; we slept like babies. We also appreciated the abundance of towels and the provided shampoo and body wash. Finally, the checkout process was one of the easiest I’ve ever experienced with an Airbnb and the value is unbeatable. All in all, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to stay here!

AMAZING! One of the most beautiful homes i’ve stayed at with one of the most STUNNING views. The house was gorgeous, the rooms were cozy, and the game room was phenomenal. The pool is crystal clear with amazing lights at night and it has one of the BEST views accessible from the pool! You could also see the stars at night which was amazing for me! (I live in LA haha) The host was incredibly professional, kind, and compassionate. I could really tell that they cared about me and my stay. Best birthday ever :)

The back patio was wonderful, and has great views of the valley with cool birds flying by all afternoon. We loved everything about this place, the pool and hot tub with the views out in the open were the best! The property was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. In addition, we also enjoyed the game room. The only negative was that some of the games were not working properly, but we didn’t think it was a big deal because everything else was perfect. What a gem! There’s really nothing I’ve seen quite like it on air bnb. It’s beyond what you see in the pictures. The surrounding view is breathtaking for the entire 360 degrees. The house is decorated PERFECT for the dessert. So many spots to sit and hangout. Every corner both inside and outside the property is quintessential dessert perfection. We got to take our 9 month old on her first family vacation & first time for her in a pool/jacuzzi and it was total bliss!!! We are definitely making this a yearly destination! 11/10, highly recommend!!!

I often find AirBnb listings sadly don’t match reality. This property exceeded our expectations! Lovely house, super clean, well stocked, beautiful view, peaceful, private, and Homestead Modern’s attention and responsiveness was above and beyond. We had a wonderful weekend by the pool, grilling, watching movies, venturing into the nearby towns and Joshua Tree National Park. The property manager, Homestead Modern, replied to our message within minutes when we needed help turning on the hot tub. They remotely started the hot tub for us and we were able to easily manage it after that. Very clean house inside and out. Pool and hot tub were pristine. They really keep up on maintenance. We will certainly stay at another of their properties in the future.

This spotless home is absolutely amazing. Everything is the house has been placed with so much love, thought and creativity. The retro vibe is felt through the furniture, art, and game room. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The 5 star management team was fast to respond when we reached out and they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. But, the thing we loved the most were the most magnificent views. Breathtakingly beautiful views both during the day and night. This is a home we would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again.

Super awesome place. Stayed here with some of my buddies for spring break and had a ton to do. the house is in a great spot up on the hill and was an easy 30ish minute drive into the park. After a long day of climbing big rocks, it was nice to come back to the hot tub and a view (you can see the sunset if you climb the big hill behind the house). Game room was pretty cool too. Overall phenomenal place.

We absolutely loved staying here, as a big group is hard to find a place were we can all fit and find it cozy and comfortable. Some of the things we liked the most about saying here , is the space it has , the chimney for sure, we couldn’t enjoy the pool as we’d like to cause it was a crazy cold windy day But the spa was for sure one of our favorite things. Got away with family to celebrate my 50th. Sat in the hanging swing chair and watched the sunrise, being reflective of life was so peaceful! Perfect way to celebrate with family (my hubby, 4 kids, and my mom). There's 4 beds so if you are not couples, they would need to sleep on the couches. The hot tub was easy to turn on and perfectly heated after about 45min-1 hour. It was windy as expected so prepare for that. Very close to everything yet up on a hill to feel like you are away from it all. Lots of fun things to do in the game room for the whole family. If you did want to do the advertised hike out back, be careful not to go too far. We got yelled at by one of the neighbors that it's private property and most likely lots of people trespass. Also, there's mice droppings on the couch in the garage so watch out. Would definitely stay again!

I don't know where to start the review about this house. The location of this house was so close to Joshua park and away from all the mess of the downtown. We stargazed sitting in the hot tub, ate our meals watching sunrise and sunsets right from our dining room. Even though it gets dark earlier in this weather, the house has everything to entertain every soul; arcade games, board games, bean chairs, music station, bean chair, hanging chairs. We had a great stay at Good Luck Outpost. It's a spacious house with a fun, vintage vibe and plenty to do, between the hot tub, games, arcade, outdoor fireplace, and indoor wood stove. We had everything we needed, and the host company was very responsive. At 103F, the hot tub was a good temperature, even at night in February.

I originally tried to rent this place last year (dates didn’t work) and stumbled upon it for a last minute weekend trip to the desert. This is a great house I felt right at home. I could see some of the stuff they probably bought from local craftspeople that I have at my own house! :). Although it’s not secluded as what I usually rent, I realized after this trip, the kids like this location a lot better and it’s more comfortable for them also. I want to really love this listing! The home itself is unique and clearly perfect for bachelorette/bachelor parties and anyone looking for some great IG-worthy photo spots. Homestead Modern has excellent communication and always responded quickly. Even with a great customer service experience, I don't plan on staying with Homestead Modern again. I had originally booked another HM property. They reached out a few days before letting me know that the fireplace in that listing was broken. I was offered to be moved to another property (this one), which I accepted! Unfortunately I was moved from one broken property to another. I was only considering homes with a jacuzzi and the home that HM recommended that I move my reservation to didn’t have an operational spa. It was clear that maintenance of the home and awareness of its current state was lacking. It took far too much back and forth to finally have someone come out on the second night just to confirm it was definitely broken.

This house has one of the best views sunrise I've ever seen in my life - and traveling around the world, I've seen MANY. When you walk through the doors, you feel as if you're transported to another place and time in a way, with the modern retro furniture pieces - however it doesn't have an 'old' feel in any way, it feels fresh, new, clean and well - just PERFECTION. Every single room is artfully decorated - it was hard to choose my room! This home is large and OPEN. I came with my family and we had such a wonderful time sitting in all the rooms and chatting, and even playing games in the game room. But the pool and outdoor space was my favorite! The pool and outdoor sauna are so refreshing on a hot or cold day respectively. And you are on this cliff so you can have this endless view of the mountains and valley. But again, the sunrise (and even reverse sunset) from this home are truly exceptional!! The neighborhood is quiet. I can't wait to come back!!!

Good Luck Outpost was the perfect relaxing getaway we needed. Check-in was seamless and easy. We were excited to see such a property was listed for a reasonable rate and very happy to see that the pictures matched the real thing. There was plenty of space and comfortable seating and bedding for the 5 of us. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed so it saved us trips to the market (all we needed was food and beverages). At night we enjoyed stargazing and making smores by the firepit, in the daytime the pool kept us cool and when we got hungry, we grilled up some dinner while listening to the record player. The game room was a nice added bonus along with the beautiful interior of the house. There were a few housekeeping issues we had but they went out of their way to rectify. Everyone loved the property and had a fun and relaxing stay. We would definitely love to stay again or even check out the other amazing properties managed by Homestead Modern.

Great house, perfect host. Multiple grocery stores and shopping plazas within 1-2 miles. One trip and you won't have to leave the house again if you don't want to. DoorDash was also able to deliver easily. TV has all the apps, A/C and all the appliances worked great. Kitchen may look dated in the pictures, but it's well stocked with anything you could want. There were so many puzzles and board games that I only wish I had more time to enjoy. The property is so peaceful and set in a way that you don't feel you're staring at the neighbors or vice versa. I even found a nice pair of binoculars, enabling us to watch a howling coyote some ways away! The pool is awesome, no cowboy tub here! Hot tub was the ideal temperature for me (I don't prefer blistering) and heated up quickly. Both were used every day and night. Homestead Modern was extremely responsive and friendly. They provided any info I needed and very clear instructions. I would definitely stay here again and hope to return soon.

The views was what caught our eyes renting out this Airbnb! From sunrise to sunset, there’s no disappointment! Home was clean and well put together. I couldn’t stop pointing and complimenting at everything they had in the home! The neighborhood is cool and unique, and check in was SEAMLESS receiving a code to open the door a couple hours or so before check in. The view from the backyard is absolutely gorgeous, and the pool was beautiful with a shallow wading pool side that was perfect for my 4 year old to play in. Hot tub was an absolute treat. The house is impeccably decorated but still very very cozy, outlets everywhere, plenty of sitting areas, the beds were all super comfy. AND THE GAME ROOM, just so much fun. Fully stocked kitchen full of dishes, coffee things, popcorn machine, a Netflix account logged in and ready to go. We could not have asked for more for our 3 days in the high desert. Easy drive into Joshua Tree, cool funky Morongo Valley, ritzy Palm Springs, and it still has so many easy grocery stores, gas stations, and chain restaurants.

The house/pool/hot tub and view were incredible. The hot tub was hot, but no jets in it if that bothers you. Pool lights didn't work at night if that bothers you. Game room was pretty cool, but hot. Yucca Valley was really 'country'. Joshua Tree was more city folk, and you should know that going in. If you like quiet and beauty though, come here. I hope this helps any/everyone. Enjoy.

We loved our stay at the Good Luck Outpost! I would definitely recommend staying there or anywhere managed by Homestead Modern- it was clean, beautifully decorated, and fun, with lots of great extras. Some places are decorated nicely but generically- this place is full of vintage, original furniture, games, and things to look at. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, and it was great to have a fully fenced yard for our pups. Couple of things to note- the house is up on a hill, which is amazing for the view, but it was little more windy and cooler than the valley floor. Also, there are a lot of coyotes living around there- I saw one right outside the window- so you may want to keep an eye on any small doggies. Would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing. The view, the house, the spa and pool area! Without a doubt, one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. We will be returning for sure. The area kept my family (young and very active 8 year old son, and moody teenage daughter) very entertained and happy! Our family of 5 really loved the open layout of this home and especially loved the unique vintage styling. The space was impeccably decorated, with retro furnishings and artwork that really added to the overall atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, game room, a beautiful pool & spa, fire pit and plenty of cozy seating areas to relax in. But the real highlight of this property was the view (AND the fact that we were only 5 minutes to town for groceries, dining, etc.) The neighborhood is very quiet - we never saw another person, but there were other homes around so it felt safe. This is our second Homestead Modern stay and they were incredibly kind and accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.

Amazing home - we spent a lot of time in the pool and our 4 year old loved the shallow portion. Perfect for smaller kids. The kitchen was well stocked for a rental, and we loved the popcorn machine. The decor was fun, but also functional and cozy. Great location and short drive to many restaurants, grocery, and easy drive to the national park. Overall stay was great! Loved the rooms & house decor- I am a very detailed person and I can see there was a lot of thought put into everything. Location was perfect, about a mile away from town while also given plenty of space from neighbors. (It was important for us not to stay in an area where we were too close to other neighbors- kids can play outside and be loud without us feeling like the neighbors can hear us). We had a very pleasant Memorial Day weekendat this home. The pool was nice and family friendly with the more shallow end perfect for my 10 month old. The game room was a lot of fun for older kids and each room was very spacious. The bed in the master bedroom is a bit hard for my liking and the concrete flooring can be quite slippery if your feet are wet from the pool. They were also very hard for my son who is crawling at the moment. Not recommended for a baby friendly house. However it was perfect otherwise.

We had such a wonderful time staying in your home. The house was extremely clean, which we greatly appreciated. Lots of space for the 6 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers, a toddler and a large dog). Everything we needed was readily available. We enjoyed the game room, smart tv’s, beautiful pool and spa, fire pit, bbq, hammocks, and comfortable spaces to lounge inside the house to just hang out. The house is located in a very quiet area that has lots of places to walk around with the dog and for the kids to look for lizards and other wildlife. This a great home to book for any occasion and a really great team managing the property. The house reminds of a modern upscale 70’s home with the most comfortable chairs I have ever relaxed in. Close to the National Park with great views of the valley and watching the full moon rise right in front of us was so fun to watch around the outdoor fire pit. I think the view will be imprinted in my head forever. I cannot say enough great things about the home, location, view, etc. We were so close to everything and had easy access to the park.. We ended up ditching our plans for the week and stayed around the pool most of the time. Between the grill, pool/hot tub, and fire pit.....the backyard is the place to be. I could honestlywrite a novel on here about how amazing our stay was. We may have to make this a routine stop each year!

Fun home and very convenient location - esp. for day trips to Joshua Tree. My kids loved the game room. House is a bit less isolated than the photos suggest but has great views over the valley. Concrete floors keep it cool but bring slippers if you don't like that feel. It was too windy the few days we were there to take advantage of the outdoor space, but I'm sure they would be great for lounging. A great base for exploring the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it's a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park, a short drive to Pioneertown and has easy access to stores and shops in Yucca Valley - yet at the same time feels removed and private. We had a great stay at this property. It’s equipped with all of the basics and many extra touches that enhanced the experience like, a working turn table and 8 track player with an amazing vinyl collection (especially if you love the '80's), an air popcorn machine with every topping you can imagine, wood burning stove and fun game room. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of bath and pool towels - which is always a plus! Only setback of the experience is that we had hoped to swim one day in the heated pool, but heating took longer than expected; Homestead was accommodating and we worked it out. This house is perfection. It's a great place to entertain but still cozy. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the home. You can feel the love that has been poured into this house. The garage has been transformed into a cool game room and there is a fantastic reading area in the in the sunroom complete with a vintage stereo, an ample vinyl collection and a swing. There are amazing views in every room and the property is vast with lots of great places to climb some rocks and commune with nature. I'll be back again for sure!

This home is absolutely wonderful. It is so peaceful and quiet. There are amazing views in every room and it’s a perfect space for entertaining. My kids were well entertained with the fantastic game room, horseshoe pit and hot tub and we were able to enjoy the incredible views in the hammocks. We came up with another family and never felt crowded, in fact the house was spacious yet still warm. The hot tub was perfect to keep us warm while stargazing at night. We came here for Christmas weekend with our family and had a wonderful time. This house has everything you could ever need and more! The staff at Homestead Modern were great to work with and easily contacted. The beds were comfortable, the house had a lot of room to spread out and had great areas where our family could all be together comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the decor was great and the pool/hot tub/game room were awesome. Restaurants, grocery and cute shops just a quick car ride away. We could take hikes right from the house or an easy drive to Joshua Tree, Pioneertown, South Fork and North Fork gave us plenty of options. Sunsets were perfect and we loved the disco ball and cactus garden in the Dining Room. I could go on and on about how much fun we had - we highly recommend!

My group and I had an amazing time. The house was perfect for a weekend getaway. Most of us are architects, so we really appreciated the thoughtful layout, decor, and especially floor plan wall art! The backyard was definitely a highlight. The view, pool, and spa were fantastic. Even though it’s close to the main road, it felt completely secluded. Being just 5 minutes from Stater Bros was convenient. The grill was easy to use, and the spa was spacious—comfortably fitting 8 people. Inside the house, the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals for our large group. The game room was well-stocked with games, so many that we had a hard time choosing! The beds and pillows were super comfortable; we slept like babies. We also appreciated the abundance of towels and the provided shampoo and body wash. Finally, the checkout process was one of the easiest I’ve ever experienced with an Airbnb and the value is unbeatable. All in all, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to stay here!

AMAZING! One of the most beautiful homes i’ve stayed at with one of the most STUNNING views. The house was gorgeous, the rooms were cozy, and the game room was phenomenal. What a gem! There’s really nothing I’ve seen quite like it on air bnb. It’s beyond what you see in the pictures. The surrounding view is breathtaking for the entire 360 degrees. The house is decorated PERFECT for the dessert. So many spots to sit and hangout. Every corner both inside and outside the property is quintessential dessert perfection. We got to take our 9 month old on her first family vacation & first time for her in a pool/jacuzzi and it was total bliss!!! I often find AirBnb listings sadly don’t match reality. This property exceeded our expectations! Lovely house, super clean, well stocked, beautiful view, peaceful, private, and Homestead Modern’s attention and responsiveness was above and beyond. We had a wonderful weekend by the pool, grilling, watching movies, venturing into the nearby towns and Joshua Tree National Park. The property manager, Homestead Modern, replied to our message within minutes when we needed help turning on the hot tub. They remotely started the hot tub for us and we were able to easily manage it after that. Very clean house inside and out. Pool and hot tub were pristine. They really keep up on maintenance. We will certainly stay at another of their properties in the future.

This spotless home is absolutely amazing. Everything is the house has been placed with so much love, thought and creativity. The retro vibe is felt through the furniture, art, and game room. Super awesome place. Stayed here with some of my buddies for spring break and had a ton to do. the house is in a great spot up on the hill and was an easy 30ish minute drive into the park. After a long day of climbing big rocks, it was nice to come back to the hot tub and a view (you can see the sunset if you climb the big hill behind the house). Game room was pretty cool too. Got away with family to celebrate my 50th. Sat in the hanging swing chair and watched the sunrise, being reflective of life was so peaceful! Perfect way to celebrate with family (my hubby, 4 kids, and my mom). There's 4 beds so if you are not couples, they would need to sleep on the couches. The hot tub was easy to turn on and perfectly heated after about 45min-1 hour. It was windy as expected so prepare for that. Very close to everything yet up on a hill to feel like you are away from it all. Lots of fun things to do in the game room for the whole family. If you did want to do the advertised hike out back, be careful not to go too far. We got yelled at by one of the neighbors that it's private property and most likely lots of people trespass. Also, there's mice droppings on the couch in the garage so watch out. Would definitely stay again!

I don't know where to start the review about this house. The location of this house was so close to Joshua park and away from all the mess of the downtown. We stargazed sitting in the hot tub, ate our meals watching sunrise and sunsets right from our dining room. I originally tried to rent this place last year (dates didn’t work) and stumbled upon it for a last minute weekend trip to the desert. This is a great house I felt right at home. I could see some of the stuff they probably bought from local craftspeople that I have at my own house! :). I want to really love this listing! The home itself is unique and clearly perfect for bachelorette/bachelor parties and anyone looking for some great IG-worthy photo spots. Homestead Modern has excellent communication and always responded quickly. Even with a great customer service experience, I don't plan on staying with Homestead Modern again. I had originally booked another HM property. They reached out a few days before letting me know that the fireplace in that listing was broken. I was offered to be moved to another property (this one), which I accepted! Unfortunately I was moved from one broken property to another. I was only considering homes with a jacuzzi and the home that HM recommended that I move my reservation to didn’t have an operational spa. It was clear that maintenance of the home and awareness of its current state was lacking. It took far too much back and forth to finally have someone come out on the second night just to confirm it was definitely broken.

This house has one of the best views sunrise I've ever seen in my life - and traveling around the world, I've seen MANY. When you walk through the doors, you feel as if you're transported to another place and time in a way, with the modern retro furniture pieces - however it doesn't have an 'old' feel in any way, it feels fresh, new, clean and well - just PERFECTION. Every single room is artfully decorated - it was hard to choose my room! This home is large and OPEN. I came with my family and we had such a wonderful time sitting in all the rooms and chatting, and even playing games in the game room. But the pool and outdoor space was my favorite! The pool and outdoor sauna are so refreshing on a hot or cold day respectively. And you are on this cliff so you can have this endless view of the mountains and valley. But again, the sunrise (and even reverse sunset) from this home are truly exceptional!! The neighborhood is quiet. I can't wait to come back!!!

Good Luck Outpost was the perfect relaxing getaway we needed. Check-in was seamless and easy. We were excited to see such a property was listed for a reasonable rate and very happy to see that the pictures matched the real thing. There was plenty of space and comfortable seating and bedding for the 5 of us. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed so it saved us trips to the market (all we needed was food and beverages). At night we enjoyed stargazing and making smores by the firepit, in the daytime the pool kept us cool and when we got hungry, we grilled up some dinner while listening to the record player. The game room was a nice added bonus along with the beautiful interior of the house. There were a few housekeeping issues we had but they went out of their way to rectify. Everyone loved the property and had a fun and relaxing stay. We would definitely love to stay again or even check out the other amazing properties managed by Homestead Modern.

Great house, perfect host. Multiple grocery stores and shopping plazas within 1-2 miles. One trip and you won't have to leave the house again if you don't want to. DoorDash was also able to deliver easily. TV has all the apps, A/C and all the appliances worked great. Kitchen may look dated in the pictures, but it's well stocked with anything you could want. There were so many puzzles and board games that I only wish I had more time to enjoy. The property is so peaceful and set in a way that you don't feel you're staring at the neighbors or vice versa. I even found a nice pair of binoculars, enabling us to watch a howling coyote some ways away! The pool is awesome, no cowboy tub here! Hot tub was the ideal temperature for me (I don't prefer blistering) and heated up quickly. Both were used every day and night. Homestead Modern was extremely responsive and friendly. They provided any info I needed and very clear instructions. I would definitely stay here again and hope to return soon.

The neighborhood is cool and unique, and check in was SEAMLESS receiving a code to open the door a couple hours or so before check in. The view from the backyard is absolutely gorgeous, and the pool was beautiful with a shallow wading pool side that was perfect for my 4 year old to play in. Hot tub was an absolute treat. The house is impeccably decorated but still very very cozy, outlets everywhere, plenty of sitting areas, the beds were all super comfy. AND THE GAME ROOM, just so much fun. Fully stocked kitchen full of dishes, coffee things, popcorn machine, a Netflix account logged in and ready to go. We could not have asked for more for our 3 days in the high desert. Easy drive into Joshua Tree, cool funky Morongo Valley, ritzy Palm Springs, and it still has so many easy grocery stores, gas stations, and chain restaurants.

We loved our stay at the Good Luck Outpost! I would definitely recommend staying there or anywhere managed by Homestead Modern- it was clean, beautifully decorated, and fun, with lots of great extras. Some places are decorated nicely but generically- this place is full of vintage, original furniture, games, and things to look at. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, and it was great to have a fully fenced yard for our pups. Couple of things to note- the house is up on a hill, which is amazing for the view, but it was little more windy and cooler than the valley floor. Also, there are a lot of coyotes living around there- I saw one right outside the window- so you may want to keep an eye on any small doggies. Would absolutely stay here again!

Loved the house, view and decor. Such a great spot to chill and enjoy the desert. I would like to return in hotter months to utilize the pool. The hot tub was great but we needed to plan the timing. It’s on a timer to save energy. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials for cooks. Very impressed.

Amazing. The view, the house, the spa and pool area! Without a doubt, one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. We will be returning for sure. The area kept my family (young and very active 8 year old son, and moody teenage daughter) very entertained and happy! Playing board games, listening to music, star gazing, hiking, exploring, shopping, eating- THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL! So many things to do and see. We even enjoyed a few low-key movie nights in the gigantic living room, taking full advantage of the popcorn bar in the kitchen! Book this house- you will not regret it!

Our family of 5 really loved the open layout of this home and especially loved the unique vintage styling. The space was impeccably decorated, with retro furnishings and artwork that really added to the overall atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, game room, a beautiful pool & spa, fire pit and plenty of cozy seating areas to relax in. But the real highlight of this property was the view (AND the fact that we were only 5 minutes to town for groceries, dining, etc.) The neighborhood is very quiet - we never saw another person, but there were other homes around so it felt safe. This is our second Homestead Modern stay and they were incredibly kind and accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.

This home has met and succeed all my expectations! The space has a creative energy that will inspire you. The wifi is super fast, for those needing to do some work while staying here. It's also very quiet, clean and welcoming. If you're seeking to unplug and recharge this is the place to be.

This was a great home for our family including my 6 And 10 year old as well as our pooch who really loved the front and back yard The amenities are top notch and the accents are fantastic, my 6 year old is now fascinated with records and record players. The game room is really cool and there is soooo much space. The location is fantastic with amazing views!

We loved our stay here. The views from the hot tub and pool are incredible, and we spent much of our time outside. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the house is clean and charming. The location strikes a good balance between feeling removed from everything, while at the same time close and accessible to anything you need. I would definitely come back again.

Amazing home - we spent a lot of time in the pool and our 4 year old loved the shallow portion. Perfect for smaller kids. The kitchen was well stocked for a rental, and we loved the popcorn machine. The decor was fun, but also functional and cozy. Great location and short drive to many restaurants, grocery, and easy drive to the national park. We had temps from 65-115 and the house was always comfortable. 10/10 recommend!

The place was an absolute dream and exactly what I never knew I needed. The decor made me feel like I was going back into time and I instantly felt relaxed and at ease. I loved the vintage throughout the home and the old 8 track player and record player. We really enjoyed the pool and fire pit at night and I plan to come back every year from now on! The retro feel that this house gives is such a vibe ! The layout and size is really nice too . Plenty of space for my family of 5 . The game room is also a must for kids and this one is off the charts . We also loved that we could hike and explore so we easily right around the house . The pool and jacuzzi where perfect and I really liked the in ground spa too it had more space and was more comfortable than the above ground ones . Thanks for the memories !

Overall stay was great! Loved the rooms & house decor- I am a very detailed person and I can see there was a lot of thought put into everything. Location was perfect, about a mile away from town while also given plenty of space from neighbors. (It was important for us not to stay in an area where we were too close to other neighbors- kids can play outside and be loud without us feeling like the neighbors can hear us). With that being said, the kids enjoyed being in the pool all day, we couldn’t get them out :) the sunrise views were amazing!!

We had a very pleasant Memorial Day weekendat this home. The pool was nice and family friendly with the more shallow end perfect for my 10 month old. The game room was a lot of fun for older kids and each room was very spacious. The bed in the master bedroom is a bit hard for my liking and the concrete flooring can be quite slippery if your feet are wet from the pool. They were also very hard for my son who is crawling at the moment. Not recommended for a baby friendly house. However it was perfect otherwise.

We had such a wonderful time staying in your home. The house was extremely clean, which we greatly appreciated. Lots of space for the 6 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers, a toddler and a large dog). Everything we needed was readily available. We enjoyed the game room, smart tv’s, beautiful pool and spa, fire pit, bbq, hammocks, and comfortable spaces to lounge inside the house to just hang out. The house is located in a very quiet area that has lots of places to walk around with the dog and for the kids to look for lizards and other wildlife. Hopefully next time we will be able to stay longer. We just loved this home.

This house is fantastic. The view is amazing and it’s great to find a rental that actually has a well equipped kitchen with all the things needed to cook any meal. We really enjoyed the hot tub, pool and wide selection of comfy seating. We would definitely rent again.

This a great home to book for any occasion and a really great team managing the property. The house reminds of a modern upscale 70’s home with the most comfortable chairs I have ever relaxed in. Close to the National Park with great views of the valley and watching the full moon rise right in front of us was so fun to watch around the outdoor fire pit. I highly recommend this property to enjoys some good times!

I think the view will be imprinted in my head forever. I cannot say enough great things about the home, location, view, etc. We were so close to everything and had easy access to the park.. We ended up ditching our plans for the week and stayed around the pool most of the time. Between the grill, pool/hot tub, and fire pit.....the backyard is the place to be. I could honestlywrite a novel on here about how amazing our stay was. We may have to make this a routine stop each year!

Fun home and very convenient location - esp. for day trips to Joshua Tree. My kids loved the game room. House is a bit less isolated than the photos suggest but has great views over the valley. Concrete floors keep it cool but bring slippers if you don't like that feel. It was too windy the few days we were there to take advantage of the outdoor space, but I'm sure they would be great for lounging. A great base for exploring the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it's a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park, a short drive to Pioneertown and has easy access to stores and shops in Yucca Valley - yet at the same time feels removed and private. Was a perfect place for a family, the kids loved the pool and the game room. Truly a wonderful spot.

We had a great stay at this property. It’s equipped with all of the basics and many extra touches that enhanced the experience like, a working turn table and 8 track player with an amazing vinyl collection (especially if you love the '80's), an air popcorn machine with every topping you can imagine, wood burning stove and fun game room. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of bath and pool towels - which is always a plus! Only setback of the experience is that we had hoped to swim one day in the heated pool, but heating took longer than expected; Homestead was accommodating and we worked it out. We were most appreciative though of the responsiveness to our questions. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely book again.

This house is perfection. It's a great place to entertain but still cozy. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the home. You can feel the love that has been poured into this house. The garage has been transformed into a cool game room and there is a fantastic reading area in the in the sunroom complete with a vintage stereo, an ample vinyl collection and a swing. There are amazing views in every room and the property is vast with lots of great places to climb some rocks and commune with nature. I'll be back again for sure!

This home is absolutely wonderful. It is so peaceful and quiet. There are amazing views in every room and it’s a perfect space for entertaining. My kids were well entertained with the fantastic game room, horseshoe pit and hot tub and we were able to enjoy the incredible views in the hammocks. We came up with another family and never felt crowded, in fact the house was spacious yet still warm. The hot tub was perfect to keep us warm while stargazing at night. Loved all the special little touches throughout this home and our stay. We loved it here and will be back.

We came here for Christmas weekend with our family and had a wonderful time. This house has everything you could ever need and more! The staff at Homestead Modern were great to work with and easily contacted. The beds were comfortable, the house had a lot of room to spread out and had great areas where our family could all be together comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the decor was great and the pool/hot tub/game room were awesome. Restaurants, grocery and cute shops just a quick car ride away. We could take hikes right from the house or an easy drive to Joshua Tree, Pioneertown, South Fork and North Fork gave us plenty of options. Sunsets were perfect and we loved the disco ball and cactus garden in the Dining Room. I could go on and on about how much fun we had - we highly recommend!
