No expense was spared in outfitting this minimalist masterpiece with all of the comforts that travelers expect from high-end homes. Or, opt for al fresco dining at the picnic table on the patio behind the house. Whip up a breakfast before a hike or cook a romantic dinner after a sound bath at the Integratron. Because of the remote location, please note that the WiFi is typically very strong, but can be a bit slower in difficult weather.
This home has a security camera mounted on, and directed at the exterior of the home in order to monitor the quantity of cars on property so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances.

Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. **Cleaning Protocols**
As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit.

You will have the entire house and property to yourself.

Neighborhood

This area is renowned for its forever vistas of the Mojave Desert and its proximity to the both Pioneertown, Big Bear, Flamingo Heights and Joshua Tree National Park. The quiet neighborhood offers a tranquil vibe and big, open skies, so you’ll feel like you’re miles away from it all, but plenty of restaurants and things to do are within a short drive.

When you’re ready to hike, bike, or climb, Joshua Tree National Park’s West Entrance is a 15-minute drive away.

• EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.

HouseRules

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT DEFINED HEREIN.

• The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

• Your sole right to access the property begins with the 3PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 9PM unless approved in advance. We will charge 50% of the daily rate for an unauthorized early arrival or late check-out.

• Dogs are allowed with prior written permission, with the payment of an additional cleaning fee, and only at certain properties. No other pets or animals are allowed. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules: use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure); dogs must be leashed at all times when outside (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs) and owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin; dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning (including at least $50 for pet fur left on furniture due to lack of use of the provided protective sheets) or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog.

• Recreational vehicles, motorcycles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

• We do not guarantee the speed or availability of internet service. Internet service may be provided by a satellite and/or wireless provider and may be subject to more fluctuations and outages than you may be used to and we do not provide refunds or discounts due to internet problems. No illegal or abusive use of the internet access is allowed. Guests may log in to their personal accounts on any devices at the property (e.g. smart TVs), but guests are responsible for logging out of all personal accounts prior to leaving the property and we are not responsible for any use or purchase made on guest accounts.

• Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area.

• The High Desert occasionally has power outages due to its rural nature. We are not responsible for any outages of Southern California Edison or any inconvenience such outage may cause. We will notify you of any planned outages and if requested will attempt to accommodate you elsewhere in the event of a planned outage lasting more than 4 hours. But we do not provide refunds or discounts for power outages that are unplanned.

• No photoshoots are allowed on the property without prior written approval and the payment of additional fees. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any use removed.

• Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written approval and the payment of additional fees.

• Guests who utilize a property’s hot tub, pools and/or plunge pool do so at their own risk and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glass or pottery glassware, plates, etc. in or anywhere near any such water amenity. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool. If a water amenity is left uncovered, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for additional cleaning/filling/heating.
No lifeguard is on duty; the primary guest on the reservation is responsible for the safe operation of the pool and for the safety of any persons using the pool; by utilizing any pool or spa all guests acknowledge and accept the risk of injury resulting from use of the pool, malfunction of pool equipment, tripping or falling around the pool/spa and any other injuries that may occur and waive all claims against the homeowner or its representatives including Homestead Modern LLC.

• Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, and pool and hot tub repairs and service.

• If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation with only a refund to the actual fees and / or deposits you have paid.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the property or within 15 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste into a plastic bag and then into the outdoor

garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250.

• Propane firepits or fireplaces may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (it is illegal pursuant to a county ordinance and may damage the fixture). If any combustible materials are burned in them, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.

• By making your reservation, you confirm that you will comply with (and your stay is allowed by) any applicable health or safety orders from the State of California.

• Firearms are not allowed on the property.

• Local ordinances prohibit any loud, excessive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person at any time as well as strict quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM. You must adhere to these rules.

• Please pay attention to all relevant short-term rental ordinances and other regulations (such as the noise ordinance above) in accordance with county or town guidelines. If you violate any ordinance and as a result the property is fined, you will be responsible for payment of the fine plus a $500 administrative fee.

• Payments are due 50% at 60 days before check-in and 50% at 30 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if less than the days for either payment).

• A deposit is required at the time of booking and any unused portion will be returned 7 days after checkout. Bookings may include an accidental damage protection fee – with payment of this non-refundable fee, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $1000 and that you report to us during your stay. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets.

• We may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this agreement, the property listing or the property house manual. If the cost of the damages, losses, or missing items exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill your credit card for the difference and / or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents, missing or broken items, lost keys, required excessive cleaning, not complying fully with the departure checklist, smoke odors or damage, mailing charges for items left behind, unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property, the presence of a dog without authorization, noise complaints after 10PM, including fines, trespassing on neighboring properties, violation of any county or town rules and unauthorized late check-out.

• We are not responsible for any personal injury or personal property loss or damage that you or your guests may incur while at the property, you assume all risks associated with your visit and will hold the property owner and manager harmless from any injuries, loss or damage.

Such a stunning home! It was very clean and had everything we needed. We spent all day outside in the pool enjoying the sun and the beautiful Joshua Trees until the sunset was all around us. It’s a quiet street with only a couple of cars driving by every now and then. The hosts were very responsive and we arrived late, so a coded entry was much appreciated. We’d highly recommend and hope to be able to visit again.

It was the best place to stay during our three weeks journey through the south west. So calm and private, we could feel like home and relax. Every detali was well thought, instructions clear and interior design at highest level. We hope to return some day :)

I highly enjoyed our stay here overall. The home is beautifully designed and I loved the open shelving in the kitchen. Kitchen is minimally stocked with basics. We did have an issue with ventilation, as there is no vent hood. We had to crack the doors open which attracted bugs instantly. The shower's water pressure is too weak but overall I loved the open layout concept of the bathroom and its luxury feel. The mattress was comfortable and the bedroom itself is spacious and beautiful. I loved the little reading nook. However, as there are no curtains for the huge glass door right next to the bed, we were awoken by the bright sun every morning much earlier than we liked. More curtains for all the windows (living room) would make this listing feel more private. I'd recommend this airbnb to my friends and family for a chill weekend getaway.

This house was everything we wanted for our trip to the desert to relax and enjoy the unique area. The amenities were just as described and little needs were thoughtfully taken care of (beach towels, a lantern for outdoor light, etc). My favorite aspects of the house were the quiet and the beautiful views from each window. Something to note, the house is on a dirt road that’s a little sandy or washboard-y in places, nothing too bad though.

We just came back from a wonderful stay! We drove down after a busy 5 days in Vegas and couldn’t have enjoyed this Airbnb more. The location feels like there is no one else around, so peaceful, and we spent all day enjoying the pool. The house was spotless and decorated so beautifully. Like previous guests have mentioned, there are a few windows without coverings which make for a beautifully lit home, however my true crime brain liked to trick me into thinking someone was looking in at night (no one was looking in ?) We enjoyed this relaxing and beautiful space so much and would definitely book again!

I mean the property is absolutely gorgeous and immaculately designed. The location is idyllic—located just close enough to the main drag to not feel like you’re going to be stranded, but isolated enough to feel a comfortable isolation. The real star, though is the heated pool: that thing is a GAME changer. We absolutely can’t wait to come back!

Great stay! Perfect spot for a couple seeking some solitude in the desert. Easy check in, clean and updates space, easy to use appliance and a/v, cute soaking pool, deck is ample for both of us and the dog. Absolutely loved it. We really enjoyed staying here. So tired of working everyday but this beautiful home gave us a lot of relaxation. Using the pool at night while looking at the stars was a 10/10 experience, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, and a Brita filter which was nice to not have to use plastic bottles. A few things were hoping if they can improve we’re highly likely to stay again. As the other review mentioned, it would be nice to have some privacy curtains around the bathroom, bedroom, and front door. At night it was a little scary. Also, we tried to use some appliances like the coffee machine but they were dirty so we ended up using the French press instead. But overall was a great stay, we really loved being there!

Cozy little place, smaller than expected, property is right next to a street and not fenced. Thought it’d be more secluded, but nearby houses seemed empty. Shade would have been great, and an outdoor shower would have been nice too. Overall great little place but feel like it could use a few upgrades.

My husband and I visit the high desert often, and we both agree this was the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. The house was beautifully decorated and felt so peaceful in the desert scenery. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bed very comfortable. The hosts thought of everything, there was nothing we wished to change about our stay.

This was my best Airbnb stay ever!! Place is even more beautiful in person. It has everything you need, just bring your favorite food, drinks, a bluetooth speaker for the pool and you’ll be set! Bathroom is clean and spacious, all towels and linens are soft, clean and fresh. Easy to turn pool into spa, just give it a couple hours, turn the lights off and go out at night to look at the stars! Easy arrival and access. The bed is very comfortable. Amazing views throughout the house, it feels like you are outside all day but very private. Petty wishes: microwave, blinds in all windows/doors, especially in the bedroom (mostly for light), shade for the pool, roof for patio and a TV in the bedroom. We would totally go back and highly recommend this place!

We had an absolutely beautiful stay. The home was gorgeous, clean, and incredibly peaceful. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed for an amazing weekend. The pool was a perfect addition and could be heated to at least 95 degrees which made it perfect for enjoying during the day or star gazing in at night. The house was a little challenging to find at night, but the instructions the hosts left were pretty clear, just make sure you are okay driving for 1-2 miles on fairly bumpy dirt roads (our mini cooper could handle it so most, if not all cars should be fine going slow). It was truly an unforgettable weekend and we can’t wait to hopefully come back.

The home is beautiful and just as described, luxurious, peaceful, and modern all a great combination for a wonderful stay. It is a bit secluded, away from Joshua Tree Park but the scenery and views are worth the drive. Check-in was easy and home instructions were also easy to follow. The home is in pristine condition, offers high-quality amenities, and has a great kitchen with tons of natural light. We had an issue with the outdoor fireplace but the host responded to my note in a very timely manner and the issue was fixed right away. I would recommend it for a romantic getaway!

This Airbnb was hands down the best and most beautiful Airbnb I have ever stayed in. The area is just stunning and the location of the cabin is great if you want to explore the Joshua Tree area. The Airbnb itself is extremely well equipped, it has an amazing kitchen with all the tools you could ask for, a beautiful outdoor area with a barbecue and an outdoor fireplace, a super cozy and modern sleeping and living room area, a luxurious bathroom, etc. Everything is just so detail-oriented, thoughtful and beautifully made! Also, all the instructions and recommendations were super helpful and intuitive. Overall our stay was so relaxing and special and definitely the highlight of our whole California trip. We are already looking forward to coming back in the future!

The home was lovely and the area is gorgeous! Descriptions were accurate. My only suggestion would be to add blinds to the front windows for privacy. As a solo traveller I wasn’t very comfortable at night knowing people could see inside when they drove by. If I’d been travelling with others I probably wouldn’t have worried though, the area is rural and pretty quiet.

This stunning property was rented for an anniversary gift with my partner. Homestead Modern was gracious and communicative and incredibly thoughtful from the booking onward. The host was thoughtful, however we were slightly disappointed that there was no hot tub or fire pit in sight, and when we asked the host they didn’t respond. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at this home and would consider staying again.

We had a great weekend stay at Homestead Modern. The space was clean, modern and private with windows through out to enjoy the desert scenery. The kitchen had full amenities and a great patio space to relax and/or entertain. This is also a dog friendly space. The host went out of their way for make sure our dog had a clean bed and doggie bags. We did hear coyotes through out the night so I would make sure your pup is on a leash if outside.

Took my husband to his first desert experience to celebrate his bday and found this beautiful yet cozy home to stay for the duration of our time here. Upon arrival we noticed an EV charger right in front of the home available for use. The host notified us of our access code beforehand, which made the check in process super easy. When we made the reservation, we notified the host that our furbaby will be joining us during our stay here and they were so thoughtful to provide a puppy bed! The home itself was decorated very aesthetically pleasing and functional. From a fully equipped kitchen to the beautiful borderless backyard, we find ourselves enjoying every moment there. Overall, our experience here was wonderful and would highly recommend this home to everyone!

Awesome little place to get away in the desert area, house is modern and impeccable, interior space is well utilized, not as roomy as the photo seemed. furniture and decorative items nicely compliment each other. Property is surrouded by beautiful Joshua trees. Some of the windows did not have blinds, had to cover them with pillows. not like we have any passersby but would be nice if all windows could be blocked for the paranoid ones. All in all great experience.

Honestly just book it! You’ll love it here. First of all the architecture of the property is stunning, and it was very secluded, and we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We stayed here with our dogs to celebrate New Years and my wife’s birthday, and our host went above & beyond to make us feel special. They made us feel right at home by greeting us with a bottle of wine and an awesome note wishing my wife a happy birthday. Not to mention the doggie bed lint, roller, and doggy bags that they left for us to use. The location is about 20 minutes from Joshua tree city and 30 minutes from the park. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable get away. It’s a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with nature. The host was very welcoming, and very responsive, we can’t wait to come back and stay with them in the future.

Such a stunning home! It was very clean and had everything we needed. We spent all day outside in the pool enjoying the sun and the beautiful Joshua Trees until the sunset was all around us. It’s a quiet street with only a couple of cars driving by every now and then. The hosts were very responsive and we arrived late, so a coded entry was much appreciated. We’d highly recommend and hope to be able to visit again.

I highly enjoyed our stay here overall. The home is beautifully designed and I loved the open shelving in the kitchen. Kitchen is minimally stocked with basics. We did have an issue with ventilation, as there is no vent hood. We had to crack the doors open which attracted bugs instantly. The shower's water pressure is too weak but overall I loved the open layout concept of the bathroom and its luxury feel. The mattress was comfortable and the bedroom itself is spacious and beautiful. I loved the little reading nook. However, as there are no curtains for the huge glass door right next to the bed, we were awoken by the bright sun every morning much earlier than we liked. More curtains for all the windows (living room) would make this listing feel more private. I'd recommend this airbnb to my friends and family for a chill weekend getaway.

This house was everything we wanted for our trip to the desert to relax and enjoy the unique area. The amenities were just as described and little needs were thoughtfully taken care of (beach towels, a lantern for outdoor light, etc). My favorite aspects of the house were the quiet and the beautiful views from each window. Something to note, the house is on a dirt road that’s a little sandy or washboard-y in places, nothing too bad though.

We just came back from a wonderful stay! We drove down after a busy 5 days in Vegas and couldn’t have enjoyed this Airbnb more. The location feels like there is no one else around, so peaceful, and we spent all day enjoying the pool. The house was spotless and decorated so beautifully. Like previous guests have mentioned, there are a few windows without coverings which make for a beautifully lit home, however my true crime brain liked to trick me into thinking someone was looking in at night (no one was looking in ?) We enjoyed this relaxing and beautiful space so much and would definitely book again!

I mean the property is absolutely gorgeous and immaculately designed. The location is idyllic—located just close enough to the main drag to not feel like you’re going to be stranded, but isolated enough to feel a comfortable isolation. The real star, though is the heated pool: that thing is a GAME changer. We absolutely can’t wait to come back!

Easy check in, clean and updates space, easy to use appliance and a/v, cute soaking pool, deck is ample for both of us and the dog. Absolutely loved it. We really enjoyed staying here. So tired of working everyday but this beautiful home gave us a lot of relaxation. Using the pool at night while looking at the stars was a 10/10 experience, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, and a Brita filter which was nice to not have to use plastic bottles. A few things were hoping if they can improve we’re highly likely to stay again. As the other review mentioned, it would be nice to have some privacy curtains around the bathroom, bedroom, and front door. At night it was a little scary. Also, we tried to use some appliances like the coffee machine but they were dirty so we ended up using the French press instead. But overall was a great stay, we really loved being there!

This stunning property was rented for an anniversary gift with my partner. Homestead Modern was gracious and communicative and incredibly thoughtful from the booking onward. We were met with a stunning space that we both agreed was one of the best Airbnb‘s we’ve ever seen. Everything was pristine, high-quality, and deeply comfortable. We were looking for something remote, but accessible- and that’s exactly what this space was. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough for a romantic getaway or for a bit of solitude away from the bustle of the city. A wonderful experience all around.

Beautiful, peaceful setting. Well designed modern cabin was surrounded by Joshua trees and desert plants. We clean well-appointed. architectural interior A great place to get away from Joshua tree crowds. 5 minutes away from a good hike up Goat Mountain. Stunning views of Yucca Valley and Mojave desert from summit.

We had a wonderful time staying at this home. It’s very clean, private, and a short drive to Joshua Tree. The space is beautiful, peaceful and modern. The host was thoughtful, however we were slightly disappointed that there was no hot tub or fire pit in sight, and when we asked the host they didn’t respond. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at this home and would consider staying again.

We had a great weekend stay at Homestead Modern. The space was clean, modern and private with windows through out to enjoy the desert scenery. The kitchen had full amenities and a great patio space to relax and/or entertain. This is also a dog friendly space. The host went out of their way for make sure our dog had a clean bed and doggie bags. We did hear coyotes through out the night so I would make sure your pup is on a leash if outside.

Took my husband to his first desert experience to celebrate his bday and found this beautiful yet cozy home to stay for the duration of our time here. Upon arrival we noticed an EV charger right in front of the home available for use. The host notified us of our access code beforehand, which made the check in process super easy. When we made the reservation, we notified the host that our furbaby will be joining us during our stay here and they were so thoughtful to provide a puppy bed! The home itself was decorated very aesthetically pleasing and functional. From a fully equipped kitchen to the beautiful borderless backyard, we find ourselves enjoying every moment there. Overall, our experience here was wonderful and would highly recommend this home to everyone!

Awesome little place to get away in the desert area, house is modern and impeccable, interior space is well utilized, not as roomy as the photo seemed. furniture and decorative items nicely compliment each other. Property is surrouded by beautiful Joshua trees. Some of the windows did not have blinds, had to cover them with pillows. not like we have any passersby but would be nice if all windows could be blocked for the paranoid ones. All in all great experience.

Seriously the best airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. The interior was beyond what’s shown in photos—it felt like I was inside a architectural magazine. The host was extremely responsive and also left us a bottle of wine for my boyfriend’s birthday. Bathroom was also beautiful and spotless, bedroom was on point with an amazing view of sunset and sunrise. I would definitely want to visit again.

Honestly just book it! You’ll love it here. First of all the architecture of the property is stunning, and it was very secluded, and we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We stayed here with our dogs to celebrate New Years and my wife’s birthday, and our host went above & beyond to make us feel special. They made us feel right at home by greeting us with a bottle of wine and an awesome note wishing my wife a happy birthday. Not to mention the doggie bed lint, roller, and doggy bags that they left for us to use. The location is about 20 minutes from Joshua tree city and 30 minutes from the park. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable get away. It’s a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with nature. The host was very welcoming, and very responsive, we can’t wait to come back and stay with them in the future.
