Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. ** Cleaning Protocols ***
As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit.

? GENERAL: As guests, you can enjoy full access to the entire home. Only registered guests are allowed unless specifically agreed upon during the booking process.

♦ WORK FROM HOME: There is free, high-speed WiFi available throughout the home for any remote workers in your group.

When going to Joshua Tree one couldn’t imagine a better location in ambiance and convenience than the Skyline Ranch area, adjacent to the coveted Pinon Ridge & Rock Reach areas of Yucca Valley as well as Pioneertown and the National Park. The area is private, but not remote with gorgeous views of mountains, Joshua trees, & desert flora & fauna. During the day, you can explore nature in your own backyard, and at night, the stargazing can’t be beat.

In addition to shopping and dining, you won’t want to miss these nearby highlights:
• Pioneertown (6-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harriet’s, a notable restaurant and venue.
• Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (20-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art.

While we are off a paved road, many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.

HouseRules

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT DEFINED HEREIN.

• The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

• Your sole right to access the property begins with the 3PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 9PM unless approved in advance. We will charge 50% of the daily rate for an unauthorized early arrival or late check-out.

• Dogs are allowed with prior written permission, with the payment of an additional cleaning fee, and only at certain properties. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules: use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure); dogs must be leashed at all times when outside (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs) and owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin; dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog. If you bring any animal to
a house that does not allow pets, you will be charged a $500 fee for deep cleaning and dander removal.

• Recreational vehicles, motorcycles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

• We do not guarantee the speed or availability of internet service. Internet service may be provided by a satellite and/or wireless provider and may be subject to more fluctuations and outages than you may be used to. We do not provide refunds or discounts due to internet problems that are related to the provider or weather. No illegal or abusive use of the Internet is allowed.

• Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area.

• The High Desert occasionally has power outages due to its rural nature. We are not responsible for any outages of Southern California Edison or any inconvenience such outage may cause. We will notify you of any planned outages and if requested will attempt to accommodate you elsewhere in the event of a planned outage lasting more than 4 hours. But we do not provide refunds or discounts for power outages that are unplanned.

• No photoshoots are allowed on the property without prior written approval and the payment of additional fees. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any unauthorized use removed.

• Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written approval and the payment of additional fees.

• Guests who utilize a property’s hot tub, pools and/or plunge pool do so at their own risk and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glass or pottery glassware, plates, etc. in or anywhere near any such water amenity. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool. If a water amenity is left uncovered, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for additional cleaning/filling/heating.

No lifeguard is on duty; the primary guest on the reservation is responsible for the safe operation of the pool and for the safety of any persons using the pool; by utilizing any pool or spa all guests acknowledge and accept the risk of injury resulting from use of the pool, malfunction of pool equipment, tripping or falling around the pool/spa and any other injuries that may occur and waive all claims against the homeowner or its representatives including Homestead Modern LLC.

• Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, and pool and hot tub repairs and service.

• If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation and refund the actual fees and / or deposits you have paid.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the property or within 15 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste in a plastic bag and then into the outdoor garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250 for remediation.

• Propane firepits or fireplaces may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (it is illegal pursuant to a county ordinance and may damage the fixture). If any combustible materials are burned in them, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.

• By making your reservation, you confirm that you will comply with (and your stay is allowed by) any applicable health or safety orders from the State of California.

• Firearms are not allowed on the property.

• Local ordinances prohibit any loud, excessive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person at any time as well as strict quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM.

• Please pay attention to all relevant short-term rental ordinances and other regulations (such as the noise ordinance above) in accordance with county or town guidelines. If you violate any ordinance and as a result the property is fined, you will be responsible for payment of the fine plus a $500 administrative fee.

• Payments are due 50% at 60 days before check-in and 50% at 30 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if less than the days for either payment). For bookings made directly on our website, no cancellation is allowed less than 5 days before check-in (100% of the charges and booking fees are non-refundable at that time).

• A deposit is required at the time of booking and any unused portion will be returned 7 days after checkout. Bookings made directly on our website or through Vrbo are charged an accidental damage protection fee – with payment of this non-refundable fee, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $1000 and that you report to us during your stay. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets.

• We may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this agreement, the property listing or the property house manual. If the cost of the damages, losses, or missing items exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill your credit card for the difference and / or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents, missing or broken items, lost keys, required excessive cleaning, not complying fully with the departure checklist, smoke odors or damage, mailing charges for items left behind, unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property, the presence of a dog without authorization, noise complaints after 10PM, including fines, trespassing on neighboring properties, violation of any county or town rules and unauthorized late check-out.

The house was amazing. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Our kids had a blast exploring outside, playing ping pong, and enjoying the hot tub! The place is absolute Heaven on earth… it was even better than the photos! Words cannot describe it… if you are looking for a romantic desert experience, look no further. This place is unreal!Gorgeous from the inside and out with all the amenities you need for a private get away. We stsyed for 3 days and regretted not staying longer. Be warned, this is not an area for people who are scared of snakes, coyotes, and other critters. There is wildlife here and coyotes are seen daily. We were eating outside and they walked down the hill at the property across from us so if you have small dogs, do not go outside without a leash. We loved it! This place does not disappoint. Many restaurants nearby within a few mins driving distance and delivery options for grocery and alcohol if you don’t want to leave. JTNP is so close and definitely worth the visit. Lots of shopping as well near by. Nothing but good things to say. We will always remember Dessert Diamond with fond memories ???????? Ty

We loved this place! Perfect comfortable place to hang out after hiking around Joshua Tree, or just hang out, very private and quiet. Stayed March 5-12 40's at night and 60's day--but strong California sun--only needed T shirt! Loved watching the sunset in the hottub listening to sounds of distant coyotes and scrub Jays. Bed too soft and small--did not match quality of the house --which is otherwise perfect otherwise. Photos online are deceiving and photographer visually blended the enormous BBQ outdoor lounge with the house itself --making it appear as one large and more elegant house.

Lovely place, much like the listing and reviews. I'd love to give this five stars, but it didn't quite live up to what we'd hoped. Little things, like broken blinds in the bedroom, an inoperable record player (actually, a fun deciding thing in choosing a place for us), a pictured guitar in the living room was nonexistent. There was no offer to make up for these things, or even a bottle of wine. Personal touches nonexistent. But... overall a beautiful home and thoughtful surroundings with the hot tub, bird feeders, outdoor barbecue (we didn't use, too cold out!), and probably great in the Spring/Fall. Easy to get to our fave restaurants -- La Copine & Pappy & Harriet's. We're big fans of Joshua Tree. Loved staying in a house. Worth a visit, for sure.

We had a beautiful day in this home. It was very welcoming, well appointed, and it had everything we needed, it was super clean, which is super important to us. It wasn’t quite as remote as I was expecting, which was good for me! You felt alone and private, and nobody was called ‘close’ to you, but you were close enough to town. This bnb was a dream! Absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly cleaned with a wonderful and responsive host team… I honestly couldn’t get enough of this place! It was just what I needed. Prior to my check in date, I let the host know I would be arriving late at night and I was worried about the lonely drive up there from Palm Springs. They were receptive and guided me with the instructions on how to get there and reassured me that the road was perfectly safe and simple to navigate especially with the instructions they provided. It was a bit of a scary drive up but the instructions were useful and the gps was precise. I had no trouble finding the Airbnb (I almost drove by it as the road seems to go left and you might be tempted to follow, don’t, it’s just on the right). I’d love to see a King sized bed in the bedroom haha It’s such a beautiful spot, better than the pictures and the pictures are immaculate. It would be even more of a vibe in the summer ?

We had an incredible stay at the desert diamond! It was exactly what we needed. A secluded getaway that couldn’t have been more relaxing. My dog and I really enjoyed our retreat in this beautifully architectures home with lots of views and natural lighting. I loved the selection of music on site, the bath tub was Heaven, and the entire home was clean and aesthetically pleasing. This was the most beautiful airbnb we have stayed in! Everything was perfect and extremely well thought out. Make sure to check every single cabinet and cupboard when you check in. Some items that we thought were not included were found on the morning of checkout (wine glasses and shot glasses - and even a popcorn machine ?). One of our favorite rentals of all time and we do this a lot. So many modern touches. Absolutely loved the covered patio for grilling and hanging, the outdoor firepit for sunsets and the hot tub for some epic star gazing. Will definitely try to stay in one of their properties the next time we are in the area. Desierto Alto was great for easy grocery delivery and 2 Guys was surprisingly good NY style pizza. Think my only note to other travelers is the bedroom is rather bright in the morning so bring a sleep mask!

Lots of open space around make it feel private, but still close enough to the grocery store that if you need to make a run, it's not inconvenient. This place is beautiful! The entire property had so many small details that made it so unique and beautiful. I loved all the windows and how they accented the home with natural lightening, it was especially stunning in the mornings. We loved the outdoor fireplace and star gazing. Such an amazing place to stay near Joshua Tree. The place was very nice, larger than we expected and was incredibly well stocked - we had everything we could possibly need to cook, barbecue, etc. Grocery stores (Vons, Stater Bros, Grocery Outlet) a quick <10 min drive away. The outdoor kitchen area was fantastic for evenings watching TV and grilling. The wildlife here was amazing, and we spent a lot of time just watching the bird feeders. We saw rabbits, quail, a jay, a thrasher, a house finch and some antelope squirrels. Highly recommended as a getaway in the desert. My fiancé and I can’t wait to come back.

Desert Diamond may just be the most beautiful Airbnb I've stayed in yet. I would move in tomorrow! The decor is impeccable, it is perfectly stocked with anything you could need--from kitchen utensils to blankets for sitting out at night to sustainable toiletries. Even an iron and ironing board if you need to iron your desert attire! There were some very cute touches/treats for our stay. The check-in/check-out system is great. We had trouble starting the grill on the first night and hosts were very responsive trying to troubleshoot. They sent someone over the next day to check it out and give us instructions. My only nit is that the outdoor shower is quite exposed. I'd recommend they add some privacy to it.

Desert Diamond was the perfect home-away-from-home for our Joshua Tree vacation. The home is impeccably clean and very nicely laid-out. It provided a great desert experience with all modern amenities. The high ceilings throughout the house, coupled with all the windows make it very airy, open, and light. The huge master bath area made getting going in the morning easy, plus there is a full second bathroom with a soaking tub. The outdoor area was a great place to grill and dine al fresco. And we *loved* the propane firepit and hammock areas out back! From a location perspective, this property is ideally situated. We were far enough from the neighbors to have privacy, but no so far “off the grid” as to feel lost in the desert. It was an easy drive to all of the key sights especially Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneertown. I also want to compliment Homestead Modern for elevating the overall rental experience. We really appreciated the easy checking (via an iPad on the counter) to all of the little touches/notes throughout the home. We would definitely stay here again (or at another Homestead Modern property).

This home is actual perfection. Quite possibly my favorite of all the Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in - anywhere in the world! Not only is the home absolutely gorgeous (both beautifully designed *and* decorated, down to the minutiae), utterly spotless, and filled with clever details and thoughtful touches rarely (if ever) seen in the most well-equipped of Airbnbs, you’re going to feel like a Disney Princess when you see the number of adorable creatures (bunnies! Jackrabbits! Chipmunks! An entire menagerie of birds! Lol) that come out to the bird feeder and water dishes. The property as a whole is brilliantly designed to take advantage of the gorgeous setting it’s in: several outdoor seating options on the grounds, hammock, fire pit, hot tub, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen! But the inside of the home is just as stunning (and super comfy too!). We enjoyed the home so much it was hard to leave for our hikes! I could go on for days, but I’ll keep this short: we would happily live in this home! A few important details: 1. You don’t need wood or fire starter for the fire pit - it’s gas! 2. The bed is memory foam and heavenly - something we always like to know when traveling. 3. The kitchen is lavishly stocked with all the tools and dishes you’ll need - even a cast iron pan! 4. This goes without saying anywhere in the desert but - don’t walk around anywhere off the patio without footwear! There are cats claw, cacti and gorgeous mature Joshua Trees on the property! (If you don’t believe me, look at the bottom of your shoes after a trip to the fire pit or hammock!)

Our stay was out of this world. They thought of everything. Wake up to a beautiful backyard view with bunny and quail visitors, a super comfy hot-tub, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Equipped with two gorgeous bathrooms, lots of places to sit, and a great grilling + entertaining area out front, this spot is absolutely awesome. The neighborhood is also great for walking and exploring.

This property is one of the best places I have stayed in a while visiting Joshua Tree. The place is extremely stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Attention to detail is great. Hosts were very accommodating in every aspect. There is so much going on around the property from the outdoor BBQ area complete with outdoor tv and seating area to the hammock and the fire pit. You are not lost with things to keep you enjoying your stay. I had to force myself to leave the property and go see the other sites. You will not find a better more equipped place to stay. I have been at may places in the desert and this was by far the most enjoyable and great value for your money.

The house was amazing. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Our kids had a blast exploring outside, playing ping pong, and enjoying the hot tub! The grill was great, and we enjoyed the outdoor space and fire pit! The bed was also very comfortable. Additionally, the coffee that they had was PHENOMENAL! We will definitely be back!

The place is absolute Heaven on earth… it was even better than the photos! Words cannot describe it… if you are looking for a romantic desert experience, look no further. My wife literally got teary-eyed when we arrived, it was so beautiful! I absolutely loved the bbq area, and the cowboy “plunge” pool. We spent every single night in the hot tub… and will be dreaming of the day we can come back until we actually do! The hosts were extremely responsive and answered all of our questions promptly. This place is unreal!Gorgeous from the inside and out with all the amenities you need for a private get away. We stsyed for 3 days and regretted not staying longer. Be warned, this is not an area for people who are scared of snakes, coyotes, and other critters. There is wildlife here and coyotes are seen daily. We were eating outside and they walked down the hill at the property across from us so if you have small dogs, do not go outside without a leash. We loved it! This place does not disappoint. Many restaurants nearby within a few mins driving distance and delivery options for grocery and alcohol if you don’t want to leave. JTNP is so close and definitely worth the visit. Lots of shopping as well near by. Nothing but good things to say. We will always remember Dessert Diamond with fond memories ???????? Ty

We loved this place! Perfect comfortable place to hang out after hiking around Joshua Tree, or just hang out, very private and quiet. Stayed March 5-12 40's at night and 60's day--but strong California sun--only needed T shirt! Loved watching the sunset in the hottub listening to sounds of distant coyotes and scrub Jays. Bed too soft and small--did not match quality of the house --which is otherwise perfect otherwise. Photos online are deceiving and photographer visually blended the enormous BBQ outdoor lounge with the house itself --making it appear as one large and more elegant house.

Lovely place, much like the listing and reviews. I'd love to give this five stars, but it didn't quite live up to what we'd hoped. Little things, like broken blinds in the bedroom, an inoperable record player (actually, a fun deciding thing in choosing a place for us), a pictured guitar in the living room was nonexistent. There was no offer to make up for these things, or even a bottle of wine. Personal touches nonexistent. But... overall a beautiful home and thoughtful surroundings with the hot tub, bird feeders, outdoor barbecue (we didn't use, too cold out!), and probably great in the Spring/Fall. Easy to get to our fave restaurants -- La Copine & Pappy & Harriet's. We're big fans of Joshua Tree. Loved staying in a house. Worth a visit, for sure.

We had a beautiful day in this home. It was very welcoming, well appointed, and it had everything we needed, it was super clean, which is super important to us. It wasn’t quite as remote as I was expecting, which was good for me! You felt alone and private, and nobody was called ‘close’ to you, but you were close enough to town. This bnb was a dream! Absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly cleaned with a wonderful and responsive host team… I honestly couldn’t get enough of this place! It was just what I needed. Prior to my check in date, I let the host know I would be arriving late at night and I was worried about the lonely drive up there from Palm Springs. They were receptive and guided me with the instructions on how to get there and reassured me that the road was perfectly safe and simple to navigate especially with the instructions they provided. It was a bit of a scary drive up but the instructions were useful and the gps was precise. I had no trouble finding the Airbnb (I almost drove by it as the road seems to go left and you might be tempted to follow, don’t, it’s just on the right). I’d love to see a King sized bed in the bedroom haha It’s such a beautiful spot, better than the pictures and the pictures are immaculate. It would be even more of a vibe in the summer ?

These accommodations are beautiful, thoughtful, super clean, and extremely well-appointed. I am very picky about AirBnBs, and Desert Diamond was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Desert Diamond is a beautifully designed home with lots of natural light and great views from pretty much every room. Incredibly detailed in their rules and check in. They even provide places to eat and go in their guide. The place was clean and they provide so much that you literally wouldn’t need to leave the place if you bought groceries for the weekend. We had an incredible stay at the desert diamond! It was exactly what we needed. A secluded getaway that couldn’t have been more relaxing. Close enough to civilization that we were able to go get a cup of coffee or a great dinner quickly, but far enough away that we felt lots of privacy in the hot tub or walking around inside with all the windows open. The little details really made this place stand out. The B&O sound system, the beautiful kitchen, and the architecture of the entire home. Can’t wait to book another stay here.

My dog and I really enjoyed our retreat in this beautifully architectures home with lots of views and natural lighting. I loved the selection of music on site, the bath tub was Heaven, and the entire home was clean and aesthetically pleasing. My dog loves watching all the wildlife that comes around to visit: quail, rabbits, birds of all kinds. The bird feed was a great touch to peace out in the mornings to welcome all of the lil critters! Adorable place. Love the hot tub for sure! Hammock perfectly placed between yucca trees for a photo shoot. The fire pit and bbq area were amazing as well. All gas range so no need to bring Wood or coal! On top of that, netflix , disney , hbo max, etc . Are available too if you want to just Netflix and chill. We were happy with our stay :)

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful home and enjoyed the Midcentury architecture and the beautiful view of the surrounding Joshua trees. The house is very well equipped, the beds are very comfy and the rooms are very spacious. Our personal highlight was the gas-firepit well "hidden" in between some Joshuas. This was the most beautiful airbnb we have stayed in! Everything was perfect and extremely well thought out. Make sure to check every single cabinet and cupboard when you check in. Some items that we thought were not included were found on the morning of checkout (wine glasses and shot glasses - and even a popcorn machine ?). This home has everything you can think of, except a bottle of hot sauce- which honestly, we may just not have found it! Property is amazing and the night sky was awesome in the jacuzzi! Homestead Modern is the Tesla of Desert places. We had a tremendous experience. The place was gorgeous. Not just the endless panoramic views of Joshua Trees. The interior design was stunning. By far one of the best airbnb's we've been to. Planned a short notice birthday trip to the desert. Let me just say the pictures don't do justice, the home and location is so gorgeous upon arriving. Everything was perfectly planned out. Fire pits out in the back with a beautiful view for sunset. Huge grilling area to post up after a long hike in Joshua Tree. They literally covered all aspects of detail from a super easy check-in to beautifully cleanliness especially being in the desert. We truly wanted to extend our stay. One of our favorite rentals of all time and we do this a lot. So many modern touches. Absolutely loved the covered patio for grilling and hanging, the outdoor firepit for sunsets and the hot tub for some epic star gazing. Will definitely try to stay in one of their properties the next time we are in the area. Desierto Alto was great for easy grocery delivery and 2 Guys was surprisingly good NY style pizza. Think my only note to other travelers is the bedroom is rather bright in the morning so bring a sleep mask!

Beautiful house that’s easy to find, yet feels very private — the host has great communication, easy checkin and the house is equipped well for cooking, dining, watching some shows (they have a popcorn machine), feeding the quails, and relaxing… and the bed was super comfortable. The place was gorgeously designed and perfect for a weeklong stay. We loved the bird seed that was set out for us and enjoyed watching the wildlife everyday - quail, roadrunners, rabbits. The location was also perfectly tucked away and not too far from things (~30 min to Joshua Tree National Park, ~10min to groceries/gas). We can't wait to come back, especially when the weather is a bit warmer and we can use the outdoor seating areas and bbq!

We loved this place. Perfect getaway for a couple. Fire pit, hot tub, and outdoor seating areas were charming. Woke up to tons of birds, bunnies, and even a little coyote friend on the prowl. Lots of open space around make it feel private, but still close enough to the grocery store that if you need to make a run, it's not inconvenient. Lovely personal touches around the property and in the house make it comfortable and classy. Host was very communicative and tried to be as helpful as possible when we had questions. Only complaints were that the record player didn't work and the hot tub seemed to be on the fritz, so it took 24 hours to heat up. Otherwise, no complaints and would definitely stay there again on our next Joshua Tree escape

Gorgeous place, exceptionally clean and well decorated. All the appliances/hardware were so beautiful, lots of attention to detail! Well stocked with all the pots and pans, etc you could need. Loved the fireplace, loved the hot tub. Outdoor grill area was great too. A little closer to other homes than we were expecting. However, the record player was broken, the bird seed was all out, and the guitar wasn’t there as advertised—this was a bummer since we were excited to utilize all of those amenities, but not a dealbreaker.

Absolutely amazing home with everything anyone could ever need. We celebrated an amazing relaxing birthday here. Homestead Modern really knows how to make and provide the essentials for a good home and then some. We will probably only stay one of there properties when we come back because the experience was just that great.

This place is beautiful! The entire property had so many small details that made it so unique and beautiful. I loved all the windows and how they accented the home with natural lightening, it was especially stunning in the mornings. We loved the outdoor fireplace and star gazing. The bed was very comfortable and the outdoor patio was great for enjoying dinner before the sunset. The indoor fireplace and record player weren’t working during our stay, but it wasn’t a deal breaker at all with enjoying our stay. The host was great with communication and very kind. They even left me a wonderful bottle of wine to help celebrate my birthday. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy JT.

Beautiful home! Really enjoyed the stay the hot tub was great at night! The fire pit was also really nice! The bed was super comfortable which was a plus! The house included everything needed to make the stay relaxing and comfortable! Really regret not staying an extra night!

Beautiful home! So much better than we expected. Photos do not do it justice. Gorgeous kitchen area and beautiful fire pit area outside. Especially loved the James Bond movie collection and feeding the wild life every morning. We would absolutely stay again!

Such an amazing place to stay near Joshua Tree. The place was very nice, larger than we expected and was incredibly well stocked - we had everything we could possibly need to cook, barbecue, etc. Grocery stores (Vons, Stater Bros, Grocery Outlet) a quick <10 min drive away. The outdoor kitchen area was fantastic for evenings watching TV and grilling. The wildlife here was amazing, and we spent a lot of time just watching the bird feeders. We saw rabbits, quail, a jay, a thrasher, a house finch and some antelope squirrels. Highly recommended as a getaway in the desert. My fiancé and I can’t wait to come back.

Loved everything! The quail feed was a huge hit with us and our dogs! They were so entertained to watch all the critters come out to eat and drink water. The record player was so nostalgic!! I swear it was my dad’s collection when I was growing up!! You HAVE to stay here at least 2 days. But I wish We stayed longer!! We couldnt pick our favorite feature of this place!! The tv patio outside, hot tub under the stars, quail feed, fire pit, coffee station, fireplace, record player, the views, etc etc!!

Desert Diamond may just be the most beautiful Airbnb I've stayed in yet. I would move in tomorrow! The decor is impeccable, it is perfectly stocked with anything you could need--from kitchen utensils to blankets for sitting out at night to sustainable toiletries. Even an iron and ironing board if you need to iron your desert attire! There were some very cute touches/treats for our stay. The check-in/check-out system is great. We had trouble starting the grill on the first night and hosts were very responsive trying to troubleshoot. They sent someone over the next day to check it out and give us instructions. My only nit is that the outdoor shower is quite exposed. I'd recommend they add some privacy to it.

Desert Diamond was the perfect home-away-from-home for our Joshua Tree vacation. The home is impeccably clean and very nicely laid-out. It provided a great desert experience with all modern amenities. The high ceilings throughout the house, coupled with all the windows make it very airy, open, and light. The huge master bath area made getting going in the morning easy, plus there is a full second bathroom with a soaking tub. The outdoor area was a great place to grill and dine al fresco. And we *loved* the propane firepit and hammock areas out back! From a location perspective, this property is ideally situated. We were far enough from the neighbors to have privacy, but no so far “off the grid” as to feel lost in the desert. It was an easy drive to all of the key sights especially Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneertown. I also want to compliment Homestead Modern for elevating the overall rental experience. We really appreciated the easy checking (via an iPad on the counter) to all of the little touches/notes throughout the home. We would definitely stay here again (or at another Homestead Modern property).

This home is actual perfection. Quite possibly my favorite of all the Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in - anywhere in the world! Not only is the home absolutely gorgeous (both beautifully designed *and* decorated, down to the minutiae), utterly spotless, and filled with clever details and thoughtful touches rarely (if ever) seen in the most well-equipped of Airbnbs, you’re going to feel like a Disney Princess when you see the number of adorable creatures (bunnies! Jackrabbits! Chipmunks! An entire menagerie of birds! Lol) that come out to the bird feeder and water dishes. The property as a whole is brilliantly designed to take advantage of the gorgeous setting it’s in: several outdoor seating options on the grounds, hammock, fire pit, hot tub, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen! But the inside of the home is just as stunning (and super comfy too!). We enjoyed the home so much it was hard to leave for our hikes! I could go on for days, but I’ll keep this short: we would happily live in this home! A few important details: 1. You don’t need wood or fire starter for the fire pit - it’s gas! 2. The bed is memory foam and heavenly - something we always like to know when traveling. 3. The kitchen is lavishly stocked with all the tools and dishes you’ll need - even a cast iron pan! 4. This goes without saying anywhere in the desert but - don’t walk around anywhere off the patio without footwear! There are cats claw, cacti and gorgeous mature Joshua Trees on the property! (If you don’t believe me, look at the bottom of your shoes after a trip to the fire pit or hammock!)

Our stay was out of this world. They thought of everything. Wake up to a beautiful backyard view with bunny and quail visitors, a super comfy hot-tub, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Equipped with two gorgeous bathrooms, lots of places to sit, and a great grilling + entertaining area out front, this spot is absolutely awesome. The neighborhood is also great for walking and exploring.

This property is one of the best places I have stayed in a while visiting Joshua Tree. The place is extremely stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Attention to detail is great. Hosts were very accommodating in every aspect. There is so much going on around the property from the outdoor BBQ area complete with outdoor tv and seating area to the hammock and the fire pit. You are not lost with things to keep you enjoying your stay. I had to force myself to leave the property and go see the other sites. You will not find a better more equipped place to stay. I have been at may places in the desert and this was by far the most enjoyable and great value for your money.
