The home can comfortably sleep up to six guests in two bedrooms, with an ensuite bathroom adjoining the primary bedroom. Both bedrooms offer California king mattresses from Saatva and direct patio access. For maximum privacy, the two bedrooms and baths are located on opposite ends of the house.Both bathrooms include walk-in showers.

The living room has two sofas that can function as beds, with additional pillows and linens provided.

The house offers generous shaded sitting areas outside for comfort even at the height of summer. A propane fire feature invites guests to pull chairs close for magical nights, even when the weather turns cool.

After a day of activities follow a short path to a magical group of boulders where a Jacuzzi-brand hot tub awaits, along with a “cowboy pool” — a repurposed galvanized stock tank offering cool dips in warm weather.

** Cleaning Protocols ***
As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit.

? GENERAL: As guests, you can enjoy full access to the entire home. Only registered guests are allowed unless specifically agreed upon during the booking process.

Neighborhood

Pipes Canyon is one of the most sought-after locations in the High Desert. It’s close to everything – and yet very much set apart with next to no light or noise pollution. The area is surrounded by dramatic flat-top lava buttes, towering and weathered boulders, and an abundance of Joshua trees.

Pipes Canyon is immediately adjacent to the Sand to Snow National Monument as well as the Pioneertown Mountains Preserve, both offering endless hiking and exploring opportunities, and the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park is about 30 minutes away by car.

Although you may be tempted to spend your whole trip exploring Pipes Canyon, many more area highlights are accessible within a short drive:
• Pioneertown (10-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harriet’s, a notable restaurant and venue.
• Yucca Valley (20-minute drive) - Convenient stop for chain stores and local eateries, like Carla's Route 62 Diner and C & S Coffee Shop
• Joshua Tree Village (20-minute drive) - Quirky strip of boutiques and restaurants, including Coyote Corner, Space Cowboy Books, and the rustic Joshua Tree Saloon
• Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (20-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art.

While we are off a paved road, many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.

HouseRules

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME.
YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT DEFINED HEREIN.

• The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

• Your sole right to access the property begins with the 3PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 9PM unless approved in advance. We will charge 50% of the daily rate for an unauthorized early arrival or late check-out.

• Dogs are allowed with prior written permission, with the payment of an additional cleaning fee, and only at certain properties. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules: use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure); dogs must be leashed at all times when outside (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs) and owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin; dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning (including at least $50 for pet fur left on furniture due to lack of use of the provided protective sheets) or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog.

• Recreational vehicles, motorcycles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

• We do not guarantee the speed or availability of internet service. Internet service may be provided by a satellite and/or wireless provider and may be subject to more fluctuations and outages than you may be used to and we do not provide refunds or discounts due to internet problems that are related to the provider or weather. No illegal or abusive use of the Internet access is allowed.

• Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area.

• The High Desert occasionally has power outages due to its rural nature. We are not responsible for any outages of Southern California Edison or any inconvenience such outage may cause. We will notify you of any planned outages and if requested will attempt to accommodate you elsewhere in the event of a planned outage lasting more than 4 hours. But we do not provide refunds or discounts for power outages that are unplanned.

• No photoshoots are allowed on the property without prior written approval and the payment of additional fees. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any use removed.

• Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written approval and the payment of additional fees.

• Guests who utilize a property’s hot tub, pools and/or plunge pool do so at their own risk and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glass or pottery glassware, plates, etc. in or anywhere near any such water amenity. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool. If a water amenity is left uncovered, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for additional cleaning/filling/heating.

• No lifeguard is on duty; the primary guest on the reservation is responsible for the safe operation of the pool and for the safety of any persons using the pool; by utilizing any pool or spa all guests acknowledge and accept the risk of injury resulting from use of the pool, malfunction of pool equipment, tripping or falling around the pool/spa and any other injuries that may occur and waive all claims against the homeowner or its representatives including Homestead Modern LLC.

• Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, and pool and hot tub repairs and service.

• If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation with only a refund to the actual fees and / or deposits you have paid.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the property or within 15 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste into a plastic bag and then into the outdoor garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250.

• Propane firepits or fireplaces may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (it is illegal pursuant to a county ordinance and may damage the fixture). If any combustible materials are burned in them, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.

• By making your reservation, you confirm that you will comply with (and your stay is allowed by) any applicable health or safety orders from the State of California.

• Firearms are not allowed on the property.

• Local ordinances prohibit any loud, excessive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person at any time as well as strict quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM. You must adhere to these rules.

• Please pay attention to all relevant short-term rental ordinances and other regulations (such as the noise ordinance above) in accordance with county or town guidelines. If you violate any ordinance and as a result the property is fined, you will be responsible for payment of the fine plus a $500 administrative fee.

• Payments are due 50% at 60 days before check-in and 50% at 30 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if less than the days for either payment).

• A deposit is required at the time of booking and any unused portion will be returned 7 days after checkout. Bookings may include an accidental damage protection fee – with payment of this non-refundable fee, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $1000 and that you report to us during your stay. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets.

• We may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this agreement, the property listing or the property house manual. If the cost of the damages, losses, or missing items exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill your credit card for the difference and / or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents, missing or broken items, lost keys, required excessive cleaning, not complying fully with the departure checklist, smoke odors or damage, mailing charges for items left behind, unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property, the presence of a dog without authorization, noise complaints after 10PM, including fines, trespassing on neighboring properties, violation of any county or town rules and unauthorized late check-out.

• We are not responsible for any personal injury or personal property loss or damage that you or your guests may incur while at the property, you assume all risks associated with your visit and will hold the property owner and manager harmless from any injuries, loss or damage.

An amazing stay in Pioneertown/Joshua Tree! The floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel like you're in nature no matter where you are in the house, and there are great tools for birdwatching and stargazing. The huge property allows you to really explore, even outside of hiking trails. And the many amenities outside - the patio area, the fire table, the hot tub, sitting areas, etc - make it a great space to hang out. Many Airbnbs (especially in this area, I find) look great in pictures and don't live up to them at all - that's absolutely not the case here. Homestead Modern is a well-oiled machine with a proper cleaning & management crew. Super comfy space to be at one with nature. We'll be back!

There are not many places to visit where one can experience nothing but the serene sounds of nature. The back of this home bumps up against open land, open sky, and Joshua trees. Everything about this place was next to perfect. Unfortunately for me, I got food poisoning, and spent the entirety of our short stay mostly inside. (do not ever drink left over Starbucks that's left overnight in the car! yikes!) But I made the most of it! I watched the sunset and sunrise every morning wrapped up in a blanket-no two sunrises or sunsets were ever the same. Every afternoon, a covey of quail showed up on the back patio and the stargazing was awesome(definitely my husbands favorite part!) It wasn't exactly the 10 year wedding anniversary I had planned, but It was a memorable stay. We will definitely be coming back again some day. Two thumbs up!

Although visiting the desert at the height of Summer is not ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hawk and Mesa. We enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the view and the light breeze as the sun went down and the temperatures dropped considerably. We are in the market for a steel framed house and this beautiful home was a perfect example of what we want. We were also treated to a spectacular sight of Space X racing through the desert skyline. This was by far one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The home is architecturally beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked. The land on which the property sits is magical, with some of the best scenery and hikes you could imagine. Our stay was absolutely perfect. This house and the private canyon are BEAUTIFUL — perfect little getaway for our post-holiday season retreat. We drove over from LA to work from home in the Joshua Tree area (Yucca/Pioneertown) and caught the tail end of the first meteor shower of 2024. The Hawk & Mesa house was perfect in every way. The design of the house is impeccable, positioned perfectly to view every colorful hue of the sunrise as it peaks over the eastern mountains from the wide windows of the living room. It was 30-40 deg F outdoors during our stay, but we saw a few shooting stars while stargazing all night from the warm jacuzzi. We also meandered around the canyon area for a sunset hike. If you take a moment to disconnect and be present in the outdoor environment of Hawk & Mesa, the tranquility and serenity of the space will surely heal and recharge. The house came with everything, as described. Check out Pappy & Harriet’s nearby for fire BBQ. We would definitely return when we need another local retreat.

Solid homebase from where to explore the surroundings. The house borders something like a personal Joshua Tree Park right outside your door, ready for exploration. Boulder scrambling, ambling among groves ofJoshua trees and other spectacular geologies like large volcanic mesas. Add to that a well stocked house, the hot tub and the modern architecture and you will find that there is no need to go anywhere else, other than the occasional visit to Pappy and Harriet’s.

The Hawk and Mesa house was wonderful! My husband and I stayed here for just over a week and had the most relaxing time. We put 18 miles of hiking/running on that week, between the neighboring land and Joshua Tree National Park. This was our second trip to Yucca Valley. The Hawk+Mesa was the better venue in my personal opinion. It definitely feels more expensive than the other listings at first. However, when we saw the moon rising behind the mountains from the patio during our first night, it was totally worth it. I never saw a moon rise that beautiful in my whole life. The place is so private and quite that you can just relax doing nothing just lying in the lounge bed. We had minor problems, but the host was very responsive and helpful to make us feel comfortable. I’d definitely try to visit the place again if I get a chance ??

A truly lovely home that was a much needed escape from city life. A serene stay complemented by beautiful scenery and a pristine house. We booked Hawk & Mesa last minute for a change of scenery and were pleased with our decision. Rather than stay in the mix of everything in Joshua Tree or Palm Springs, the home offered a bit of peaceful seclusion, which we were looking for in this particular case. We went on a hike, utilized the grill, watched a movie, and sat by the fire outside to enjoy the surroundings. Big plus was they not only welcomed us, but our well-trained dog. They were prepared inside with a dog bed, bowls, and other things. Beautifully well-kept interior and exterior, we felt right at home. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful location (down a dirt road), very private with beautiful views. Comfy layout and beds. Very tiny bathrooms. Could have been a 4+ star stay but the home needed maintenance - master shower would not produce water and sink didn't drain, washing machine was filled with mold, two stove burners were broken, oven and hand appliances weren't clean. Some areas were quite clean - pretty concrete floor, inside fridge. Good array of kitchen tools. We didn't try out the spa.

This may be my favorite rental that I've ever got.. in my entire life! So peaceful So beautiful! The house itself was modern, clean, and so well equipped that we really just needed to bring clothes. The sunrise from the back patio was mesmerizing. The sunset through the window in the kitchen was just as amazing. It's close enough to town to get what you need, but far away to have complete silence when you want. I loved my stay at Hawk & Mesa! Already can't wait to go back. The pictures speak for themselves - this place is absolutely as gorgeous as it looks. This place is magical, super serene and private. Great for relaxing and watching wildlife and stargazing. ~15-20 min away from grocery stores and super easy. It is also super comfortable and felt like home. The wifi works great even though there is no cell reception, the kitchen is SUPER well equipped with bonuses like a panini maker and blender, and the house stays cool throughout the day with minimal AC usage even in high-90 degree weather due to the large overhangs that keep the whole house cool. We saw hawks, two coyotes. On the last day, we saw a young bobcat that walked right through the back patio about 10 feet from the house (watch your dogs!). SO COOL! Can’t wait to come back.

The place was exactly what we needed and wanted and solving two things would have made it 100% perfect. First with the good - the place is as advertised with the interior and exterior better than or just as good as the photos show. It's a beautiful place to spend a few days (or longer). We were working remotely there and the internet was reliable and fast for multiple people to be on Zoom at the same time. The kitchen was very well stocked and the cooking facilities were all working great. The grocery store (Von's, Walmart) is a 15-20min drive away so it's not that bad and there's even a Starbucks ;-). The linens and beds were all super comfortable and soft. The outdoor space was beautiful and well-maintained. Super happy the place was dog friendly and we got a chance to stay there. I would absolutely go back multiple times if it weren't for the pretty big issue we had on check-in that tarnished a bit of the experience. If you are considering it and are good with the price I would highly recommend you go and just hope that nothing goes wrong because it's perfect if nothing does. Now for the only negatives (and 1 nitpick): - When we arrived on a 110 degree day the A/C was not working. It took multiple hours of property manager, then technician, coming out to fix it. This was not an insignificant nuisance and while I understand that it happens I was hoping for Homestead to do more for us than fix the problem. The first day was essentially a wash as the A/C didn't get fixed until dinner (imagine sitting at 90 degrees inside and outside finally cooling down to about the same temp around 6-7p), which meant interruptions to almost a full day of the time we were hoping to spend away from other people and alone. I loved the place so want to come back but knowing 1) how long it takes for something to get fixed, 2) how bad it can be given you're operating in extremes if something breaks (i.e., very very hot out, far from help) , and 3) after the fact, Homestead did not try and make it right (e.g., partial refund) I'm not sure this is the place we will choose to come back to. - The water pressure in one of the bathrooms (sadly, the master bathroom) was too low (barely enough for a comfortable shower) so we never used it and ended up using the second (guest) bathroom instead to shower since it was far better. If water pressure is critical for you consider wisely which room you choose if you have 4 people here. - The couch is shallow and not particularly cozy/comfy. If you like to lounge on couch in the living room with a movie just FYI this won't be super satisfying :)

We definitely recommend this to all travelers who are thinking of a mountain getaway in Joshua tree area. That house is really special and you feel like you are completely surrounded on all sides by the most gorgeous scenery. The glass windows make you feel like you’re outdoors.The cowboy tub is really great.we felt serene and relaxed after our stay. The host would respond to any question right away. There are many services that they offer such as desert flowers, vegetarian barbecue basket for the grill and special cowboy blankets that you can buy… The road is A little rough and it is a little rocky so you may want to rent a jeep. We had a sprinter van and it made it fine but it was a little bit bumpy. If you are looking for a rustic getaway he will absolutely love this and there are a lot of amazing things nearby to do. We went horseback riding and we took an amazing tour of the Joshua tree area. This is a hidden gem.

Hawk + Mesa was an amazing getaway and the perfect base for exploring the Joshua Tree area. It was my first time, and the home was an incredible introduction to the Mojave desert. The views, landscape and accommodations were perfect, with so many details well considered and attended to. Communication with the hosts was great — good details and very responsive. There was definitely no phone signal, but the WiFi worked great. Every evening we spent lounging out in the patio, watching local wildlife and the multicolored skies. I would definitely stay again!

An amazing stay in Pioneertown/Joshua Tree! The floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel like you're in nature no matter where you are in the house, and there are great tools for birdwatching and stargazing. The huge property allows you to really explore, even outside of hiking trails. And the many amenities outside - the patio area, the fire table, the hot tub, sitting areas, etc - make it a great space to hang out. Many Airbnbs (especially in this area, I find) look great in pictures and don't live up to them at all - that's absolutely not the case here. Homestead Modern is a well-oiled machine with a proper cleaning & management crew. Super comfy space to be at one with nature. We'll be back!

There are not many places to visit where one can experience nothing but the serene sounds of nature. The back of this home bumps up against open land, open sky, and Joshua trees. Everything about this place was next to perfect. Unfortunately for me, I got food poisoning, and spent the entirety of our short stay mostly inside. (do not ever drink left over Starbucks that's left overnight in the car! yikes!) But I made the most of it! I watched the sunset and sunrise every morning wrapped up in a blanket-no two sunrises or sunsets were ever the same. Every afternoon, a covey of quail showed up on the back patio and the stargazing was awesome(definitely my husbands favorite part!) It wasn't exactly the 10 year wedding anniversary I had planned, but It was a memorable stay. We will definitely be coming back again some day. Two thumbs up!

Although visiting the desert at the height of Summer is not ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hawk and Mesa. We enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the view and the light breeze as the sun went down and the temperatures dropped considerably. This house and the private canyon are BEAUTIFUL — perfect little getaway for our post-holiday season retreat. We drove over from LA to work from home in the Joshua Tree area (Yucca/Pioneertown) and caught the tail end of the first meteor shower of 2024. The Hawk & Mesa house was perfect in every way. The design of the house is impeccable, positioned perfectly to view every colorful hue of the sunrise as it peaks over the eastern mountains from the wide windows of the living room. It was 30-40 deg F outdoors during our stay, but we saw a few shooting stars while stargazing all night from the warm jacuzzi. We also meandered around the canyon area for a sunset hike. If you take a moment to disconnect and be present in the outdoor environment of Hawk & Mesa, the tranquility and serenity of the space will surely heal and recharge. The house came with everything, as described. Check out Pappy & Harriet’s nearby for fire BBQ. We would definitely return when we need another local retreat.

Solid homebase from where to explore the surroundings. The house borders something like a personal Joshua Tree Park right outside your door, ready for exploration. Boulder scrambling, ambling among groves ofJoshua trees and other spectacular geologies like large volcanic mesas. Add to that a well stocked house, the hot tub and the modern architecture and you will find that there is no need to go anywhere else, other than the occasional visit to Pappy and Harriet’s.

The Hawk and Mesa house was wonderful! My husband and I stayed here for just over a week and had the most relaxing time. This was our second trip to Yucca Valley. The Hawk+Mesa was the better venue in my personal opinion. It definitely feels more expensive than the other listings at first. However, when we saw the moon rising behind the mountains from the patio during our first night, it was totally worth it. I never saw a moon rise that beautiful in my whole life. The place is so private and quite that you can just relax doing nothing just lying in the lounge bed. We had minor problems, but the host was very responsive and helpful to make us feel comfortable. We booked Hawk & Mesa last minute for a change of scenery and were pleased with our decision. Wonderful location (down a dirt road), very private with beautiful views. Comfy layout and beds. Very tiny bathrooms. Could have been a 4+ star stay but the home needed maintenance - master shower would not produce water and sink didn't drain, washing machine was filled with mold, two stove burners were broken, oven and hand appliances weren't clean. I loved my stay at Hawk & Mesa! Already can't wait to go back. The pictures speak for themselves - this place is absolutely as gorgeous as it looks. The home itself and surrounding backyard/nature feel completely remote despite being a mere 20 min drive from civilization and basic needs like groceries and gas. The place was spotless upon check in and has every amenity you could need - towels, linens, soaps, shampoo, lotion, hair dryer, kitchen appliances, utensils, wine opener, cleaning supplies - you name it. Everything is very clearly labeled or with instructions on how to use it. I could not get enough of the patio area, everything was so serene and peaceful. There was even a hiking trail that runs directly from the backyard for a few miles into the hills. A perfect place to come escape the chaos of every day life and get in touch with nature. This place is magical, super serene and private. Great for relaxing and watching wildlife and stargazing. ~15-20 min away from grocery stores and super easy. It is also super comfortable and felt like home. The wifi works great even though there is no cell reception, the kitchen is SUPER well equipped with bonuses like a panini maker and blender, and the house stays cool throughout the day with minimal AC usage even in high-90 degree weather due to the large overhangs that keep the whole house cool. We saw hawks, two coyotes. On the last day, we saw a young bobcat that walked right through the back patio about 10 feet from the house (watch your dogs!). SO COOL! Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing location and house, we could have stayed longer. Watching the sunrises and sunsets via the East and West facing windows is just magical. We’d have dinner at sunset then just watch the twilight take over then the stars come out while leaving the lights out the whole time, such a relaxing and beautiful experience.

The view and location are stunning. Literally the reason to book the house. It is peaceful and magical. Watching sunrise and the Milky Way from the hot tub is amazing. You feel like you are in the park with the landscape. Really relaxing and beautiful.

The place was exactly what we needed and wanted and solving two things would have made it 100% perfect. First with the good - the place is as advertised with the interior and exterior better than or just as good as the photos show. It's a beautiful place to spend a few days (or longer). We were working remotely there and the internet was reliable and fast for multiple people to be on Zoom at the same time. The kitchen was very well stocked and the cooking facilities were all working great. The grocery store (Von's, Walmart) is a 15-20min drive away so it's not that bad and there's even a Starbucks ;-). The linens and beds were all super comfortable and soft. The outdoor space was beautiful and well-maintained. Super happy the place was dog friendly and we got a chance to stay there. I would absolutely go back multiple times if it weren't for the pretty big issue we had on check-in that tarnished a bit of the experience. If you are considering it and are good with the price I would highly recommend you go and just hope that nothing goes wrong because it's perfect if nothing does. Now for the only negatives (and 1 nitpick): - When we arrived on a 110 degree day the A/C was not working. It took multiple hours of property manager, then technician, coming out to fix it. This was not an insignificant nuisance and while I understand that it happens I was hoping for Homestead to do more for us than fix the problem. The first day was essentially a wash as the A/C didn't get fixed until dinner (imagine sitting at 90 degrees inside and outside finally cooling down to about the same temp around 6-7p), which meant interruptions to almost a full day of the time we were hoping to spend away from other people and alone. I loved the place so want to come back but knowing 1) how long it takes for something to get fixed, 2) how bad it can be given you're operating in extremes if something breaks (i.e., very very hot out, far from help) , and 3) after the fact, Homestead did not try and make it right (e.g., partial refund) I'm not sure this is the place we will choose to come back to. - The water pressure in one of the bathrooms (sadly, the master bathroom) was too low (barely enough for a comfortable shower) so we never used it and ended up using the second (guest) bathroom instead to shower since it was far better. If water pressure is critical for you consider wisely which room you choose if you have 4 people here. - The couch is shallow and not particularly cozy/comfy. If you like to lounge on couch in the living room with a movie just FYI this won't be super satisfying :)

The most amazing Airbnb experience we’ve had. The place is awesome - great view, great interior, super private. The host is very responsive and the place has everything you need. We were originally worried about the WiFi since it’s satellite, but it turned out to be surprisingly usable and we didn’t have any issues. We’ll be back!

This is more than a stunning house, it’s an amazing experience! The location is spectacular, the home gorgeous & well stocked, we loved hiking on the 120 acres, especially in the heat, we didn’t have to make the trek to busy JT park. And peaceful sunsets with cocktails & unobstructed views was sublime. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to come back!

We definitely recommend this to all travelers who are thinking of a mountain getaway in Joshua tree area. That house is really special and you feel like you are completely surrounded on all sides by the most gorgeous scenery. The glass windows make you feel like you’re outdoors.The cowboy tub is really great.we felt serene and relaxed after our stay. The host would respond to any question right away. There are many services that they offer such as desert flowers, vegetarian barbecue basket for the grill and special cowboy blankets that you can buy… The road is A little rough and it is a little rocky so you may want to rent a jeep. We had a sprinter van and it made it fine but it was a little bit bumpy. If you are looking for a rustic getaway he will absolutely love this and there are a lot of amazing things nearby to do. We went horseback riding and we took an amazing tour of the Joshua tree area. This is a hidden gem.

Hawk + Mesa was an amazing getaway and the perfect base for exploring the Joshua Tree area. It was my first time, and the home was an incredible introduction to the Mojave desert. The views, landscape and accommodations were perfect, with so many details well considered and attended to. Communication with the hosts was great — good details and very responsive. There was definitely no phone signal, but the WiFi worked great. Every evening we spent lounging out in the patio, watching local wildlife and the multicolored skies. I would definitely stay again!

This place is truly outstanding. The patio and fire pit are awesome at night, and you can see all the stars really clearly. The hot tub and cowboy tub were really cool and very fun too. The place was beautifully designed and had really nice appliances/silverware/towels etc.. very high quality! We can’t wait to go back.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with this wonderful spot. If it’s available—take it! From the style of the home, to the dinnerware, everything is so thoughtful, clean, and comfortable. I was there for 3 days and I’m still not over how gorgeous it was! If you’re looking for peaceful getaway, this is it. I could go into more detail but it’s not necessary— everything was PERFECT.

An absolutely BEAUTIFUL home, inside and out. That happens to be located on a stunning piece of property with a 360* view of tranquilly serene desert landscape. Everything provided in the home is high end and top notch. The amenities are some of the better I have run across, from the cookware and appliances, to the finishes of the bathrooms, and the furniture.

We had an amazing time at this one of a kind property. The views are unparalleled. You have Ntl Park quality scenery all around you, and you can hike right out the back door. The house itself is just as gorgeous as the views and amenities like the picturesque fire pit and spa mean that you can enjoy the outdoors even in the winter. It snowed while we were there and it was nothing short of magical!
