This main house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests in 2 stylish bedrooms plus a sofa bed. The bedrooms are located in their own private corners of the home, both with ensuite bathrooms, custom closets, ceiling fans, and direct patio access via a sliding glass door that lets in lovely natural light. Each bedroom has unique local art loved by the owner and premium linens from Parachute proving the ultimate luxury.

The casita has the third bedroom and bathroom. Pease note that the casita will be locked unless you make a booking for five or more guests. We never rent the casita separately from the main house.

The recently revamped kitchen is picture-perfect and fully equipped for any culinary endeavor. Like the rest of the home, even the kitchen offers stunning views. Appliances include a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer (with ice maker), microwave, and dishwasher. The sleek cabinets are stocked with dishes and glassware, and a blender, coffee, and a drip coffee maker are ready for your breakfast routine. The breakfast bar seats 2 and you will find a large table set for more in the dining room, although you may be tempted to enjoy your meal on the otherworldly patio next to the BBQ grill overlooking the national park.

The outdoor space had been arranged to optimize fun and relaxation, and to capture as much of the high desert’s beauty and sun as possible. You’ll want to spend as much time as possible on the back patio, where you’ll find a cozy 4-person Jacuzzi-brand hot tub sitting under a vast canopy of stars. On a hot afternoon, the cooling “cowboy” tub is the perfect place to refresh after a hike in the park. And a propane fire feature beckons as a gathering place on cool evenings.

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT DEFINED HEREIN.

• The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

• Your sole right to access the property begins with the 3PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 9PM unless approved in advance. We will charge 50% of the daily rate for an unauthorized early arrival or late check-out.

• Dogs are allowed with prior written permission, with the payment of an additional cleaning fee, and only at certain properties. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules: use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure); dogs must be leashed at all times when outside (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs) and owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin; dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog. If you bring any animal to
a house that does not allow pets, you will be charged a $500 fee for deep cleaning and dander removal.

• Recreational vehicles, motorcycles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

• We do not guarantee the speed or availability of internet service. Internet service may be provided by a satellite and/or wireless provider and may be subject to more fluctuations and outages than you may be used to. We do not provide refunds or discounts due to internet problems that are related to the provider or weather. No illegal or abusive use of the Internet is allowed.

• Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area.

• The High Desert occasionally has power outages due to its rural nature. We are not responsible for any outages of Southern California Edison or any inconvenience such outage may cause. We will notify you of any planned outages and if requested will attempt to accommodate you elsewhere in the event of a planned outage lasting more than 4 hours. But we do not provide refunds or discounts for power outages that are unplanned.

• No photoshoots are allowed on the property without prior written approval and the payment of additional fees. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any unauthorized use removed.

• Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written approval and the payment of additional fees.

• Guests who utilize a property’s hot tub, pools and/or plunge pool do so at their own risk and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glass or pottery glassware, plates, etc. in or anywhere near any such water amenity. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool. If a water amenity is left uncovered, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for additional cleaning/filling/heating.

No lifeguard is on duty; the primary guest on the reservation is responsible for the safe operation of the pool and for the safety of any persons using the pool; by utilizing any pool or spa all guests acknowledge and accept the risk of injury resulting from use of the pool, malfunction of pool equipment, tripping or falling around the pool/spa and any other injuries that may occur and waive all claims against the homeowner or its representatives including Homestead Modern LLC.

• Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, and pool and hot tub repairs and service.

• If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation and refund the actual fees and / or deposits you have paid.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the property or within 15 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste in a plastic bag and then into the outdoor garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250 for remediation.

• Propane firepits or fireplaces may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (it is illegal pursuant to a county ordinance and may damage the fixture). If any combustible materials are burned in them, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.

• By making your reservation, you confirm that you will comply with (and your stay is allowed by) any applicable health or safety orders from the State of California.

• Firearms are not allowed on the property.

• Local ordinances prohibit any loud, excessive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person at any time as well as strict quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM.

• Please pay attention to all relevant short-term rental ordinances and other regulations (such as the noise ordinance above) in accordance with county or town guidelines. If you violate any ordinance and as a result the property is fined, you will be responsible for payment of the fine plus a $500 administrative fee.

• Payments are due 50% at 60 days before check-in and 50% at 30 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if less than the days for either payment). For bookings made directly on our website, no cancellation is allowed less than 5 days before check-in (100% of the charges and booking fees are non-refundable at that time).

• A deposit is required at the time of booking and any unused portion will be returned 7 days after checkout. Bookings made directly on our website or through Vrbo are charged an accidental damage protection fee – with payment of this non-refundable fee, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $1000 and that you report to us during your stay. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets.

• We may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this agreement, the property listing or the property house manual. If the cost of the damages, losses, or missing items exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill your credit card for the difference and / or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents, missing or broken items, lost keys, required excessive cleaning, not complying fully with the departure checklist, smoke odors or damage, mailing charges for items left behind, unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property, the presence of a dog without authorization, noise complaints after 10PM, including fines, trespassing on neighboring properties, violation of any county or town rules and unauthorized late check-out.

The place is just as described but the photos don’t do it justice. It’s is beautiful in person. The living room and kitchen are huge. It was great having our own rooms and bathrooms. The hot tub was an amazing treat after traveling around Joshua Tree. Overall, a great secluded place to stay when coming to the area. Everything is modern and simple. I would recommend staying here since it’s so close to the park! I would stay again!

I am a huge fan of Homestead Modern homes! This was our third time staying with them and they never cease to impress. This particular house is very special, the views are breathtaking and the home is gorgeously constructed. Fully functional kitchen, bathroom fully stocked, working outdoor fire pit, comfortable bedrooms, and clean a hot tub to relax in under the stars. We highly recommend and will be returning guests!

The house was absolutely fantastic. The view is stunning and we spent a lot of time in the hot tub under the stars. The house was the perfect size for us. The location is great and it’s easy to get anywhere. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools, pots and pans, etc. having the bbq is great too (although we didn’t use it). Few things to consider: -the road to the house is a pretty bad dirt road. If you have a fancy car, I would not want to stay here. The road is dirty and very bumpy and there’s no other way in. Even with our 4-wheel drive we had to be careful -ideally there would be Kleenex in the house -the couch isn’t too comfy and it’s small. A sectional with the amount of space in the living room or something deeper and bigger would be better (there’s room!) -buy your groceries in Yucca Valley. There aren’t any grocery stores in Joshua Tree. Also not many restaurants either so plan to cook Homestead Modern is very responsive to messages and were great.

We absolutely loved our stay at Homestead Modern. The house is beautiful with gorgeous views of the valley and the mountains. The place is equipped with everything you need- full kitchen, bathroom, etc.. and the hot tub is fabulous for watching the stars at night. This place is just amazing. Starting from high end design of the house ending with amazing sunsets and star gazing from the jacuzzi. When you get in the house, the feeling is like it is just been built and furnished, like nobody lived there before you. So clean, spacious, beautiful, whoever designed that house and interior designed did magnificent job. If you ever want to visit place and have no issues and just enjoy place, views, and yourself, this is for you. P.S beds are so comfortable, very hard to get up in the morning :)

Beautiful location, has an incredible view of the desert, with Joshua trees on the premises and only a few minute drive from the main drag in Joshua Tree town. Also a huge Wal-Mart right nearby. The unit is gorgeous. Only thing is there’s a bit of a walk (a few dozen yards) to the jacuzzi which can be a pain if it’s cold, especially at night. Great service from the host and everything was well stocked and well kept.

The view is stunning, the place is incredibly modern and spacious, you can go from jacuzzi to steam room to hot shower (inside or outside), and then go back and enjoy the record player or go to Joshua tree or downtown in minutes. The house design is very modern and clean with everything you need. the location is very close to the entrance to the park, and easy access to highway and amenities of Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley but feels far away once you are on the property. we had a great stay. the location was perfect, the house was clean and functional, and their communication was almost instantaneous. our only issue is that the high winds on our first two days torqued the metal enclosure for the outdoor shower in such a way that it made loud clanging sounds every few minutes. we were mostly able to sleep through it, but i could see it being a bigger problem for lighter sleepers. they said they’d try to fix it for future renters. :)

Gorgeous desert oasis with wide unobstructed views of the sunset and sunrise. Quiet and peaceful. Close to the main road, but depending on the direction of the wind you can't hear the cars. This modern property with obvious attention to detail is larger than it seems thanks to the thoughtful floor to ceiling windows providing an indoor-outdoor living vibe. Neighbors are far enough away for privacy. Comfortable bed, pillows and sofas. Kitchen was well stocked with the supplies needed to cook and serve meals. Very close to JT park. Rates are super low during the Summer due to the heat, but our vacation started on the Summer Solstice and the weather was quite bearable especially with strong AC in the home. Property is just as depicted, save for a missing coffee table in the living room. Jacuzzi was serviced as described and worked well. Homestead Modern is a great host. I had to do some work on this trip and the WiFi went out. I called and left a message. Within 10 minutes, someone returned my call, walked me through how to get to the router and stayed on the phone with me until it was resolved. This was our first trip to JT and staying in this property certainly made it memorable. Definitely will return to to this or another Homestead Modern hosted property!

It’s beautiful to wake up to the floor to ceiling doors overlooking the desert. We saw animals on the property like Road runners, Jack rabbits, lizards. You can also hear coyotes in the near distance during sunset hours. If you intend to bring your pet just FYI there are some serious cactus needles across the property ... it would be best to keep them on designated pathways or protect the paws. I stepped on some and it hurt pretty bad, but it’s just part of the territory. The place is stellar. I recommend the hot tub late at night with the lights off and Joshua tree sky above you. So surreal.

I always do a quick wipe of high-touch surfaces when staying away from home, but all my wipes came spotless here! I was very impressed. We had a brief issue with the internet and the host resolved that for us super quick. We loved using the hot tub and steam function in the shower after a long day’s hike! Homestead Modern was so thoughtfully designed and beautiful. We kept remarking on how every space inside and outside the home felt purposeful. Each room had its own private patio space and outdoor shower (in addition to each room's private shower/bathroom). There are stunning vistas in every direction. We made the most use of the chaise lounges, fire pit, and hot tub. In fact, we remarked that we barely wanted to be inside because the outside was SO fantastic. The inside was beautiful as well: stylish, modern, comfortable beds, decently stocked kitchen, pitcher full of Brita water waiting on us when we arrived, good water pressure. We wished the living room had one more comfy chair so the four of us could all sit together, but we also enjoyed the open space for dancing and sitting on the floor to play guitar. There was a nice, loud speaker in the living room that we enjoyed. There are other homes (some AirBNBs, some private homes) within eye-shot but not so close that they feel intrusive. We never felt our privacy was invaded. We found the national park, DT Joshua Tree, grocery stores, and gas stations to be within reasonable distance of the house. This stay was a little pricey but the location and experience were so special that it felt worth it to us. We would definitely stay again. If you're on the fence, just book it. You won't be disappointed.

Bathrooms need shades on the doors, beautiful 2.5 acres (albeit far from "private"), hot-tub could use attention, couches need a deep-steaming and the router needs replacing (or to be relocated inside for convenience when the net goes down). Those are the gripes, and they mostly stick out due to the price, considering what you can get in and around Joshua Tree for a similar cost. That said, Solis is a nice spot. The steam-shower is fantastic, furnishings comfortable, amenities thoughtful, parking plentiful, etc. The host was also very polite and responsive.

Perfect spot for a socially distant vacation with friends/family. My daughter and I stayed in the main house and our dear friends stayed in the casita. We were able to safely enjoy a vacation with our friends while everyone was comfortable with lovely accommodations. The expansive views from the patio dining area made every meal special. I recommend you arrange for a hotspot through your cellular provider if Wifi access is needed. Amazing home with better views! It was my family and I’s first time in the area and I couldn’t think of a better way to take it all in. The home was just as clean as in the pictures and was a quick drive to see Joshua Tree National park and Palm Springs. We had some connectivity issues early on with the WiFi but management was very responsive and was able to resolve the issue timely. First of all this place was amazing the get away was nice I enjoyed it it was peaceful we had a small problem with the A/C I messaged them and they got on it and sent someone to take a look which I liked !!!! I am a huge fan of Homestead Modern homes! This was our third time staying with them and they never cease to impress. This particular house is very special, the views are breathtaking and the home is gorgeously constructed. Fully functional kitchen, bathroom fully stocked, working outdoor fire pit, comfortable bedrooms, and clean a hot tub to relax in under the stars. We highly recommend and will be returning guests!

The house was absolutely fantastic. The view is stunning and we spent a lot of time in the hot tub under the stars. The house was the perfect size for us. The location is great and it’s easy to get anywhere. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools, pots and pans, etc. having the bbq is great too (although we didn’t use it). Few things to consider: -the road to the house is a pretty bad dirt road. If you have a fancy car, I would not want to stay here. The road is dirty and very bumpy and there’s no other way in. Even with our 4-wheel drive we had to be careful -ideally there would be Kleenex in the house -the couch isn’t too comfy and it’s small. A sectional with the amount of space in the living room or something deeper and bigger would be better (there’s room!) -buy your groceries in Yucca Valley. There aren’t any grocery stores in Joshua Tree. Also not many restaurants either so plan to cook Homestead Modern is very responsive to messages and were great.

Amazing Airbnb! The house is impeccably clean, the floor to ceiling windows have an unbelievable view and give such great natural sunlight in the daytime. The mini casa is super nice and spacious as well. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

This home was incredible! Located a short drive from the west entrance of the park, we were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets and sunrises in this beautiful home. Took a lot of interior decorating tips as well .. this house and the casita were absolutely perfect.

Our stay at Homestead Modern’s Solis was absolute tranquility and magic. We arrived to a beautiful home and retreat in the desert that provides panoramic views with modern comfort. My husband and I as well as our pup enjoyed our rest and escape from busy city life at this home. We highly recommend you choose this location to be your next desert adventure. We will certainly be back for our next desert escape!

The Solis property is a rare find in Joshua tree. The experience was rare for Airbnb in general- easy check in, clear instructions for everything including all the amenities, and clean beyond words. The place is a desert escape I would love to come back to again.

Gorgeous desert oasis with wide unobstructed views of the sunset and sunrise. Quiet and peaceful. Close to the main road, but depending on the direction of the wind you can't hear the cars. This modern property with obvious attention to detail is larger than it seems thanks to the thoughtful floor to ceiling windows providing an indoor-outdoor living vibe. Neighbors are far enough away for privacy. Comfortable bed, pillows and sofas. Kitchen was well stocked with the supplies needed to cook and serve meals. Very close to JT park. Rates are super low during the Summer due to the heat, but our vacation started on the Summer Solstice and the weather was quite bearable especially with strong AC in the home. Property is just as depicted, save for a missing coffee table in the living room. Jacuzzi was serviced as described and worked well. Homestead Modern is a great host. I had to do some work on this trip and the WiFi went out. I called and left a message. Within 10 minutes, someone returned my call, walked me through how to get to the router and stayed on the phone with me until it was resolved. This was our first trip to JT and staying in this property certainly made it memorable. Definitely will return to to this or another Homestead Modern hosted property!

We had a great experience and would definitrky recommend staying here. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect - near the JT strip and close to the west entrance of the park. We enjoyed the jacuzzi at night under the stars, it feels like you are away from everything. Looking forward to our next visit.

It’s beautiful to wake up to the floor to ceiling doors overlooking the desert. We saw animals on the property like Road runners, Jack rabbits, lizards. You can also hear coyotes in the near distance during sunset hours. If you intend to bring your pet just FYI there are some serious cactus needles across the property ... it would be best to keep them on designated pathways or protect the paws. I stepped on some and it hurt pretty bad, but it’s just part of the territory. The place is stellar. I recommend the hot tub late at night with the lights off and Joshua tree sky above you. So surreal.

Home was beautiful. Area was nice and quiet which was what we were looking for. If you are taking your dogs just be careful to only let them walk in the sandy areas around the house. There are allot of pricks from the cactus that can get stuck on their feet. Views and sunsets are breathtaking.

Immaculately clean, great location - both bedrooms are a good size and both have their own en suite and own outdoor shower. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed relaxing and star gazing. It's very much a holiday rental rather than someone's home - so it's well looked after and response from the host when I had an internet issue was immediate. A great stay. Thanks!

Gorgeous house with an amazing view and amenities! There was indeed a back/guest house but it was not rented out separately just as the posting said. I always do a quick wipe of high-touch surfaces when staying away from home, but all my wipes came spotless here! I was very impressed. We had a brief issue with the internet and the host resolved that for us super quick. We loved using the hot tub and steam function in the shower after a long day’s hike! Will definitely consider booking again.

Ditto all the other reviews! Perfect place to zen out in the desert! I agree with what one of the other reviews said....JUST BOOK IT! One thing that amazed me in a house that is all windows...they were SPOTLESS! (Nothing worse than to have all those windows and they are dirty!). If wifi is your thing it is spotty. But did you come for the wifi? Its an amazing place to reboot yourself!

The house was wonderful with great amenities and beautiful views. The location was near the hiking trails and not far from town. The host was very responsive with good communication. The only negative was the internet did not work properly. It kept going in and out our entire stay. Other than that would highly recommend.

Homestead Modern was so thoughtfully designed and beautiful. We kept remarking on how every space inside and outside the home felt purposeful. Each room had its own private patio space and outdoor shower (in addition to each room's private shower/bathroom). There are stunning vistas in every direction. We made the most use of the chaise lounges, fire pit, and hot tub. In fact, we remarked that we barely wanted to be inside because the outside was SO fantastic. The inside was beautiful as well: stylish, modern, comfortable beds, decently stocked kitchen, pitcher full of Brita water waiting on us when we arrived, good water pressure. We wished the living room had one more comfy chair so the four of us could all sit together, but we also enjoyed the open space for dancing and sitting on the floor to play guitar. There was a nice, loud speaker in the living room that we enjoyed. There are other homes (some AirBNBs, some private homes) within eye-shot but not so close that they feel intrusive. We never felt our privacy was invaded. We found the national park, DT Joshua Tree, grocery stores, and gas stations to be within reasonable distance of the house. This stay was a little pricey but the location and experience were so special that it felt worth it to us. We would definitely stay again. If you're on the fence, just book it. You won't be disappointed.

This house and Casita was beautiful! Very modern and comfortable in a quiet and serene environment. There are some small amenities that could be updated a bit and the seating area in the living space could be made a bit more cozy, but the fire pit and the large windows and the incredible view were wonderful! Bathrooms need shades on the doors, beautiful 2.5 acres (albeit far from "private"), hot-tub could use attention, couches need a deep-steaming and the router needs replacing (or to be relocated inside for convenience when the net goes down). Those are the gripes, and they mostly stick out due to the price, considering what you can get in and around Joshua Tree for a similar cost. That said, Solis is a nice spot. The steam-shower is fantastic, furnishings comfortable, amenities thoughtful, parking plentiful, etc. The host was also very polite and responsive.

Perfect spot for a socially distant vacation with friends/family. My daughter and I stayed in the main house and our dear friends stayed in the casita. We were able to safely enjoy a vacation with our friends while everyone was comfortable with lovely accommodations. The expansive views from the patio dining area made every meal special. I recommend you arrange for a hotspot through your cellular provider if Wifi access is needed. Cellular service was adequate (Zoom worked with occasional bump offs), and Wifi was unavailable at times.

Spent a great, peaceful weekend with a group of 6 (and a dog). The space is very clean, has amazing views, and was the perfect size for my group. The kitchen & backyard space had everything we needed to cook group meals together. The check-in and check-out process was also seamless. The host also provided very clear and helpful instructions on how to navigate to the airbnb + hiking recommendations nearby. Would definitely recommend this place for any group staying at Joshua Tree!

Amazing home with better views! It was my family and I’s first time in the area and I couldn’t think of a better way to take it all in. The home was just as clean as in the pictures and was a quick drive to see Joshua Tree National park and Palm Springs. We had some connectivity issues early on with the WiFi but management was very responsive and was able to resolve the issue timely. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this Airbnb.

We enjoyed our five night stay here very much. The views down into the valley are amazing. The kitchen is large and equipped for home cooking. And there was plenty of space for the four of us to stretch out and relax.

Great location (dirt road) so you are surrounded by the Joshua Tree experience. Home was sparkling clean. Cowboy tub has a drain so you can fill it with fresh water for your stay. Great for star gazing and an out door shower there is a must!
