This two bedroom home can comfortably sleep up to five guests between the 2 bedrooms and the pull out bed in the living area. Private, adjoining patios & floor to ceiling windows encourage movement between indoor & outdoor spaces. Each bedroom features a king-sized bed, local art & Parachute linens. For maximum privacy, the two bedrooms and baths are located on opposite ends of the house.

The kitchen & dining area are positioned in the open center of the house, where high ceilings and soaring walls of glass frame the majesty of the desert backdrop.

This kitchen is equipped with a Fisher & Paykel fridge & freezer, dishwasher and plenty of bakeware. This kitchen is a chef’s dream! There’s also a drip coffee maker, french press and coffee provided so you can whip up your morning coffee of choice.

The kitchen island accommodates four people. The warm, wood dining table accommodates six people, located on the main deck, extending the length of the house. We recommend at least one meal under the stars; with so little light pollution in the desert, the night sky’s constellations are especially brilliant.

When going to Joshua Tree one couldn’t imagine a better location in ambiance and convenience than the Skyline Ranch area, adjacent to the coveted Pinon Ridge & Rock Reach areas of Yucca Valley as well as Pioneertown and the National Park. The area is private, but not remote with gorgeous views of mountains, Joshua trees, & desert flora & fauna. During the day, you can explore nature in your own backyard, and at night, the stargazing can’t be beat.

In addition to shopping and dining, you won’t want to miss these nearby highlights:
• Pioneertown (6-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harriet’s, a notable restaurant and venue.
• Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (20-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art.
• The Integratron (20-minute drive) - New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.
• Palm Springs (40-minute drive) - Artsy town known for vintage shopping, art galleries, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.

HouseRules

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT DEFINED HEREIN.

• The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

• Your sole right to access the property begins with the 3PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 9PM unless approved in advance. We will charge 50% of the daily rate for an unauthorized early arrival or late check-out.

• Dogs are allowed with prior written permission, with the payment of an additional cleaning fee, and only at certain properties. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules: use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure); dogs must be leashed at all times when outside (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs) and owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin; dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog. If you bring any animal to
a house that does not allow pets, you will be charged a $500 fee for deep cleaning and dander removal.

• Recreational vehicles, motorcycles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

• We do not guarantee the speed or availability of internet service. Internet service may be provided by a satellite and/or wireless provider and may be subject to more fluctuations and outages than you may be used to. We do not provide refunds or discounts due to internet problems that are related to the provider or weather. No illegal or abusive use of the Internet is allowed.

• Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area.

• The High Desert occasionally has power outages due to its rural nature. We are not responsible for any outages of Southern California Edison or any inconvenience such outage may cause. We will notify you of any planned outages and if requested will attempt to accommodate you elsewhere in the event of a planned outage lasting more than 4 hours. But we do not provide refunds or discounts for power outages that are unplanned.

• No photoshoots are allowed on the property without prior written approval and the payment of additional fees. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any unauthorized use removed.

• Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written approval and the payment of additional fees.

• Guests who utilize a property’s hot tub, pools and/or plunge pool do so at their own risk and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glass or pottery glassware, plates, etc. in or anywhere near any such water amenity. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool. If a water amenity is left uncovered, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for additional cleaning/filling/heating.

No lifeguard is on duty; the primary guest on the reservation is responsible for the safe operation of the pool and for the safety of any persons using the pool; by utilizing any pool or spa all guests acknowledge and accept the risk of injury resulting from use of the pool, malfunction of pool equipment, tripping or falling around the pool/spa and any other injuries that may occur and waive all claims against the homeowner or its representatives including Homestead Modern LLC.

• Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, and pool and hot tub repairs and service.

• If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation and refund the actual fees and / or deposits you have paid.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the property or within 15 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste in a plastic bag and then into the outdoor garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250 for remediation.

• Propane firepits or fireplaces may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (it is illegal pursuant to a county ordinance and may damage the fixture). If any combustible materials are burned in them, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.

• By making your reservation, you confirm that you will comply with (and your stay is allowed by) any applicable health or safety orders from the State of California.

• Firearms are not allowed on the property.

• Local ordinances prohibit any loud, excessive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person at any time as well as strict quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM.

• Please pay attention to all relevant short-term rental ordinances and other regulations (such as the noise ordinance above) in accordance with county or town guidelines. If you violate any ordinance and as a result the property is fined, you will be responsible for payment of the fine plus a $500 administrative fee.

• Payments are due 50% at 60 days before check-in and 50% at 30 days before check-in (or at the time of reservation if less than the days for either payment). For bookings made directly on our website, no cancellation is allowed less than 5 days before check-in (100% of the charges and booking fees are non-refundable at that time).

• A deposit is required at the time of booking and any unused portion will be returned 7 days after checkout. Bookings made directly on our website or through Vrbo are charged an accidental damage protection fee – with payment of this non-refundable fee, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $1000 and that you report to us during your stay. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets.

• We may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this agreement, the property listing or the property house manual. If the cost of the damages, losses, or missing items exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill your credit card for the difference and / or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents, missing or broken items, lost keys, required excessive cleaning, not complying fully with the departure checklist, smoke odors or damage, mailing charges for items left behind, unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property, the presence of a dog without authorization, noise complaints after 10PM, including fines, trespassing on neighboring properties, violation of any county or town rules and unauthorized late check-out.

We loved this place so much. It's a lovely and stylish house surrounded by a vast land, and it feels like staying private in a huge national park. There are many things to do inside the property and many insane places to discover around this place. The only thing is that there are a lot of different wild creatures. Unfortunately, mice visited us a lot, even inside the house.

We (2 adults and 1 German shorthair pointer) had a wonderful time at the place. The house is well designed. The furniture is comfortable. The linens are clean and plenty. The kitchen is well stocked. Shower water is strong. Our dog loves the place, inside and outside. The property is fenced in most places we didn’t have to worry about her roaming outside too much. The only thing we wish to have brought with us are dog shoes because we had to pull the cactus needles from her feet a few times. Other than that, we all enjoyed a peaceful time. We brought some foods with us and went to Palm Springs to eat daily, which was somewhat a pain.

The photos in the listing do not do this property justice. It is even BETTER in person, if you can believe! Everything about the property was so thoughtfully designed and me and my guests felt relaxed and at home. We loved exploring all the different areas on the property — the sunrise/sunset chairs, cowboy tubs, daybed, hot tub (of course), and the gorgeous outdoor entertainment area. This is the second time I’ve stayed at one of Homestead Modern’s properties in the desert and it was another 10/10 experience. I will be returning!

Skyline Ridge was a fantastic introduction to Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree. Spent a lot of time at the park, live music in Joshua Tree, enjoyed the shops and restaurants in both towns, but what we wish we’d had more time to do was hang out at Skyline Ridge… Very peaceful, beautifully built, lots of diverse/private seating areas across the property, wonderful covered patio/dining/TV area and nice wildlife viewing. Hope to come back one day!

There is far too much to say about this home. There is no reasonable way to describe the perfection of this Airbnb. So, HERE WE GO: Every morning you awaken to a bright sunlit day, with a cool easy breeze. Having that first cup of coffee sitting on the covered patio calms the soul. Looking out into the distance and seeing no one for miles is priceless. There is no reason to want to go anywhere, because time is standing still for you to take in the majesty set before you. The Joshua trees and the various plants insight stillness. Lazy afternoons spent in the cowboy tubs, is a must! And as your day comes to a close, the performance of an amazing “Golden hour” while you relax in the hot tub can soothe whatever type of day you chose will bring it all together! For a Chef, the stove is a dream! The beds are comfortable, the showers are sexy, and the layout as a whole, is completely functional. We loved our stay at Skyline Ridge. The place is a brand new build with super modern and lovely aesthetics. Beautiful kitchen, rooms and living room. The showers were so lovely as well as the outdoor shower. The grounds are beautiful and quiet and the sunset views from the terrace are outstanding. Lots of wildlife around the place which made it that little bit extra special. Host communicated well but aside form the check in we didn't need to even contact them. everything was perfect

This home is stunning and the property it sits on just adds to the beauty and experience! Every room has floor to ceiling windows and we spent tons of time enjoying the view of the sunrises and sunsets, and on one day even caught a glimpse of the local wildlife - quail, coyotes, rabbits, and even a bobcat. The grounds are gorgeous and the mid mod vibe of the home is perfect for those who love an impeccably appointed space. It’s especially perfect for two couples because each space feels like a master suite! The outdoor patio is incredible, though we came in winter when it was a little too cold to sit for long, the outdoor tv and fire feature were such a special touch, and the hot tub was very much appreciated! Beds are super comfy and the showers are a piece of art! We walked around the neighborhood, but mostly drove to Joshua Tree to experience the dessert. Internet is solid. And HM staff are fantastic! Super responsive and very helpful if you ever need them. Would love to come back!

Very nice and modern place. The kitchen is well stocked. The architecture of the house looks great and the outside area is nice. The beds are comfortable and the house has everything you could possibly need. It is a little outside of town but it was not as private as the photos make it seem. a couple neighbouring houses around you and it’s at a corner of two streets so you see vehicles often. If you prefer a more accessible joshua area retreat then this is the perfect place. if you are looking for being more secluded then maybe not so much. Overall great stay!

What a great stay and awesome house! Although not far from stores, etc. the house felt secluded enough that we had privacy. The details were amazing, with lots of natural light and super comfortable beds and couches. We drove to Palm Springs which was only 30 minutes away and then for a hike in Joshua Tree which was another 30 minute drive away. We never really went out to eat since we enjoyed hanging out at the house so much. We'll be back.

This was an absolutely perfect stay with my husband and daughter. The weather got a little overcast and stormy and this was at the end of a long week exploring around the area so we lounged around the house and loved every minute. The pullout couch was perfect for afternoon naps with the sliding glass doors open. And the outdoor tv and seating area was a great space to hang out when the toddler went to bed.

Photos can’t fully capture the magnificence and beauty of this property. It has it all…a spectacular view, a well appointed interior, and multiple intentionally designed outdoor spaces (hottub, cowboy pools, daybed, 2 chairs overlooking the valley). Wow!! This place completely went beyond expectations! The amenities were EXACTLY what me and my group of friends needed.! We loved chilling in the hot tub at night when it cooled off, soaking in the cold bath during the day when it was 100º+, chilling on the patio and watching youtube and listening to music (the smart speakers that are wired up through the _entire_ has were AWESOME!), hanging out by gas fire at night, and just overall just super enjoying the whole vibe of the place. It totally lives up to the photos and more, from our perspective this place had pretty much zero drawbacks and was just an overall amazing place to stay in the desert for a few days. We stayed for my friends bachelor party, but this place is fantastic for pretty much any 'chill' desert trip I think!! Highly recommend!

My husband and I just spent three nights here and it was exactly what we needed! It was such a wonderful break from reality! The house is the perfect size for one or two couples and is beautifully furnished. It was pretty cold so we did not get to enjoy the patio as much as we wanted to. The hot tub is amazing though. We watched the sunrise and the sunset from the hot tub! The kitchen has everything you could need. The location is great. Close to town if you need anything. And for the most part, pretty private. You can see a couple of houses from the patio so, you are not totally secluded. We would definitely come back!

the house is nice and everything is as advertised. it is a little expensive relative to other similar airbnbs. not too sure if it is worth the extra cost, personally. for the price, i was expecting something a little more over the top. especially considering they ask you to clean before you leave (though you pay a cleaning fee). it also should be noted that my gf and i accidentally left a bag of electronics behind and their cleaning crew conveniently was not able to find it after we had contacted the host about it. so make sure you have all of your things before you leave because you likely won't get anything back that you leave behind.

This is an absolute gem. Everything is very well thought out and the house is beautiful from the moment you drive up! They have separate areas around the house that includes the hot tub, fire pit, cowboy pools and even a little lookout to watch the sunset! The patio with the outdoor TV/fireplace and dinning area definitely stands out from any other location. Stargazing in front of the fire pit and relaxing in front of the outdoor fireplace truly made this trip memorable. They even treated us with personalized treats which was very much appreciated! I recently booked here as a birthday getaway. This home is beautifully furnished and comes with everything needed to have a relaxing stay. Every room comes with its own smart tv as well as amazing quality ceiling speakers in every room that are connected to a tv (there are even ceiling speakers on the patio & outdoor shower!). If you are a music lover, you will enjoy having the ability to play your music through out the house (don’t forget to download the sonos app). This is by far one of the best airbnb’s I have stayed in! My favorite part was being able to enjoy the beautiful sunset while relaxing on the patio. They were also kind enough to gift us wines & snacks upon arrival :). Also, I can’t forget to mention how responsive Homestead Modern is. Throughout my stay, I had a few questions and Homestead Modern answered everything within the next few minutes. Their customer service is amazing and they truly care about providing an amazing stay for their guests. I look forward to booking with them again in the future. We loved this place so much. It's a lovely and stylish house surrounded by a vast land, and it feels like staying private in a huge national park. There are many things to do inside the property and many insane places to discover around this place. The only thing is that there are a lot of different wild creatures. Unfortunately, mice visited us a lot, even inside the house.

We (2 adults and 1 German shorthair pointer) had a wonderful time at the place. The house is well designed. The furniture is comfortable. The linens are clean and plenty. The kitchen is well stocked. Shower water is strong. Our dog loves the place, inside and outside. The property is fenced in most places we didn’t have to worry about her roaming outside too much. The only thing we wish to have brought with us are dog shoes because we had to pull the cactus needles from her feet a few times. Other than that, we all enjoyed a peaceful time. We brought some foods with us and went to Palm Springs to eat daily, which was somewhat a pain.

The photos in the listing do not do this property justice. It is even BETTER in person, if you can believe! Everything about the property was so thoughtfully designed and me and my guests felt relaxed and at home. We loved exploring all the different areas on the property — the sunrise/sunset chairs, cowboy tubs, daybed, hot tub (of course), and the gorgeous outdoor entertainment area. This is the second time I’ve stayed at one of Homestead Modern’s properties in the desert and it was another 10/10 experience. I will be returning!

Skyline Ridge was a fantastic introduction to Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree. Spent a lot of time at the park, live music in Joshua Tree, enjoyed the shops and restaurants in both towns, but what we wish we’d had more time to do was hang out at Skyline Ridge… Very peaceful, beautifully built, lots of diverse/private seating areas across the property, wonderful covered patio/dining/TV area and nice wildlife viewing. Every room has floor to ceiling windows and we spent tons of time enjoying the view of the sunrises and sunsets, and on one day even caught a glimpse of the local wildlife - quail, coyotes, rabbits, and even a bobcat. The grounds are gorgeous and the mid mod vibe of the home is perfect for those who love an impeccably appointed space. It’s especially perfect for two couples because each space feels like a master suite! The outdoor patio is incredible, though we came in winter when it was a little too cold to sit for long, the outdoor tv and fire feature were such a special touch, and the hot tub was very much appreciated! Beds are super comfy and the showers are a piece of art! We walked around the neighborhood, but mostly drove to Joshua Tree to experience the dessert. Internet is solid. And HM staff are fantastic! Super responsive and very helpful if you ever need them. Would love to come back!

Very nice and modern place. The kitchen is well stocked. The architecture of the house looks great and the outside area is nice. The beds are comfortable and the house has everything you could possibly need. It is a little outside of town but it was not as private as the photos make it seem. a couple neighbouring houses around you and it’s at a corner of two streets so you see vehicles often. If you prefer a more accessible joshua area retreat then this is the perfect place. if you are looking for being more secluded then maybe not so much. Overall great stay!

What a great stay and awesome house! Although not far from stores, etc. the house felt secluded enough that we had privacy. The details were amazing, with lots of natural light and super comfortable beds and couches. We drove to Palm Springs which was only 30 minutes away and then for a hike in Joshua Tree which was another 30 minute drive away. We never really went out to eat since we enjoyed hanging out at the house so much. We'll be back.

This was an absolutely perfect stay with my husband and daughter. The weather got a little overcast and stormy and this was at the end of a long week exploring around the area so we lounged around the house and loved every minute. The pullout couch was perfect for afternoon naps with the sliding glass doors open. And the outdoor tv and seating area was a great space to hang out when the toddler went to bed.

Photos can’t fully capture the magnificence and beauty of this property. It has it all…a spectacular view, a well appointed interior, and multiple intentionally designed outdoor spaces (hottub, cowboy pools, daybed, 2 chairs overlooking the valley). The speaker system and TV setup are brilliant, as are the sliding glass doors, all enabling seamless indoor/outdoor living. And totally quiet and private. Wow!! This place completely went beyond expectations! The amenities were EXACTLY what me and my group of friends needed.! We loved chilling in the hot tub at night when it cooled off, soaking in the cold bath during the day when it was 100º+, chilling on the patio and watching youtube and listening to music (the smart speakers that are wired up through the _entire_ has were AWESOME!), hanging out by gas fire at night, and just overall just super enjoying the whole vibe of the place. It totally lives up to the photos and more, from our perspective this place had pretty much zero drawbacks and was just an overall amazing place to stay in the desert for a few days. We stayed for my friends bachelor party, but this place is fantastic for pretty much any 'chill' desert trip I think!! Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous home and desert escape surrounded by Joshua Trees; we felt like we had a whole oasis to ourselves with the size of the property and thoughtful design of the space. This is a well designed, comfortable, luxurious desert experience. The Yucca’s are stunning! There’s a great level of privacy, amazing views (we saw stunning sunsets and the stars at night were beautiful!) and the hot tub is a great place to relax. Wifi not the most reliable - but if you expect that in the middle of the desert, this is probably not the retreat for you!

Very clean and comfortable house. We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, and the attention to the quality linens, towels and products available in the bathroom. It was very cold in the desert when we visited and the heating system kept us very snug and comfortable. Lovely paths to wander around the house with an incredible view of the mountains and Joshua Trees speckled around the property. It's a decent location, a relatively short drive to Pioneer Town and Joshua Tree park. A great option if you enjoy being off the beaten path!

My husband and I just spent three nights here and it was exactly what we needed! It was such a wonderful break from reality! The house is the perfect size for one or two couples and is beautifully furnished. It was pretty cold so we did not get to enjoy the patio as much as we wanted to. The hot tub is amazing though. We watched the sunrise and the sunset from the hot tub! The kitchen has everything you could need. The location is great. Close to town if you need anything. And for the most part, pretty private. You can see a couple of houses from the patio so, you are not totally secluded. We would definitely come back!

This is a beautiful house in a beautiful place. Quiet and private. The space is intimate and encourages outdoor living with BBQ, hot tub, tv, fire pit, sun deck. Dining is outside too. The bedrooms have sliding doors and are lovely, but not soundproof. It was probably the cleanest Airbnb I've stayed in. Check-in, communication, host response - all were top notch.

the house is nice and everything is as advertised. it is a little expensive relative to other similar airbnbs. not too sure if it is worth the extra cost, personally. for the price, i was expecting something a little more over the top. especially considering they ask you to clean before you leave (though you pay a cleaning fee). it also should be noted that my gf and i accidentally left a bag of electronics behind and their cleaning crew conveniently was not able to find it after we had contacted the host about it. so make sure you have all of your things before you leave because you likely won't get anything back that you leave behind.

The outdoor living space is amazing, together with the awesome sound system makes it an outdoor treat. There is a lounging bed in the open which is great for stargazing. With the Joshua trees around, it's a picturesque place for yoga. The house design and decor are all modernly elegant. Everything is almost brand new. This is an absolute gem. Everything is very well thought out and the house is beautiful from the moment you drive up! They have separate areas around the house that includes the hot tub, fire pit, cowboy pools and even a little lookout to watch the sunset! The patio with the outdoor TV/fireplace and dinning area definitely stands out from any other location. Stargazing in front of the fire pit and relaxing in front of the outdoor fireplace truly made this trip memorable. They even treated us with personalized treats which was very much appreciated! I recently booked here as a birthday getaway. This home is beautifully furnished and comes with everything needed to have a relaxing stay. Every room comes with its own smart tv as well as amazing quality ceiling speakers in every room that are connected to a tv (there are even ceiling speakers on the patio & outdoor shower!). If you are a music lover, you will enjoy having the ability to play your music through out the house (don’t forget to download the sonos app). This is by far one of the best airbnb’s I have stayed in! My favorite part was being able to enjoy the beautiful sunset while relaxing on the patio. They were also kind enough to gift us wines & snacks upon arrival :). Also, I can’t forget to mention how responsive Homestead Modern is. Throughout my stay, I had a few questions and Homestead Modern answered everything within the next few minutes. Their customer service is amazing and they truly care about providing an amazing stay for their guests. I look forward to booking with them again in the future.
